Off to a good start on the armor, the weapon needs to be heavier. |
Eli Arndt | 24 Oct 2012 2:25 p.m. PST |
Nice start and using one of your earlier figures as a base will help you make sure the power armor is taking into account the human inside. -Eli |
Armiesarmy | 24 Oct 2012 2:34 p.m. PST |
Yep That's the plan Eli Yes, it will have a much heavier weapon |
Fritadas | 24 Oct 2012 9:50 p.m. PST |

Some more work this morning
Additional detail to be added on shoulders. Sensor to go on arm. Another arm to be added
backpack has stowed gear and power unit to be added
And finally a big gun! Let us know what you think
Cheers AA Keith |

The bulging mask should be modified
perhaps with a gasmask filter or a grid, or like Bane's breather in the last batman movie

That's twice in two days that doubled topics due to "missed" cross-posting have been deleted. Moral of the story: ask the Editor to add a cross-posting instead of posting all over again. |

Indeed Heres a little more detail added
Tomorrow – Big gun. Thinking HMG |

RTJEBADIA | 25 Oct 2012 8:58 p.m. PST |
His kit looks pretty heavy as is (is that a back pack mounted robotic gun? If so
Awesome! If not
still awesome!). I'd personally not go too heavy on the gun he's carrying in his hands
perhaps something more in line with a SAW than an HMG. |
AVAMANGO | 25 Oct 2012 11:59 p.m. PST |
That looks great, i agree with RTJEBADIA the backpack weapon should be something along the same size that your heavy weapon troops carry, so a backpack mounted SAW's and his personal weapon should be a standard sized assault rifle maybe modified to carry a heavier bigger ammo magazine so he can stay in combat longer, after all that's why his wearing the extra armour right. |
Armiesarmy | 26 Oct 2012 4:33 a.m. PST |
I like that idea Avamango, very much. Yes RTJ its a mounted robotic weapon. The arm extends to fire over the shoulder in theory. All fully integrated into the suit. As for the weapon
.
Heres a heavy weapon in the making, its from the new upgunned Rusks Im working on (infantry done:)) and is nomally a support weapon. However I like Avamangos idea alot and may resort back to the standard weapon with bulked up ammo. This weapon can then refer to the shoulder/backpack maybe. Its quite close to being class as heavy/light. I guess with new composites and ammo it could be light
hmmmmm wish Id read this befoer starting! |
Dragon Gunner | 26 Oct 2012 6:37 a.m. PST |
Make the standard weapon and the heavy weapon plus a huge flamethrower with a large backpack fuel source. In my exeprience the military will always push the upper limit on what a soldier can carry. Most human trooper releases don't get me excited but this is the power armor I have been waiting for. |
Armiesarmy | 26 Oct 2012 6:47 a.m. PST |
Flame thrower will certainly be an option thanks :) |
LoudNinjaGames | 26 Oct 2012 8:02 a.m. PST |
That looks to be shaping up to be a solid design. I think it will fit in with the rest of the troops nicely. -Eli |
(I make fun of others) | 26 Oct 2012 8:47 a.m. PST |
Now that is precisely how powered armour should be made, sculpted over an actual human figure. It does demonstrate the aesthetic issue with power armour though, as it looks like chunky carapace armour. |
Armiesarmy | 26 Oct 2012 8:50 a.m. PST |
Its good old Russian 'Functional'
.:) |
Kev1340 | 26 Oct 2012 3:02 p.m. PST |
The hand held weapon looks bigger than the robotic mounted weapon
Maybe just the angle of the photo, but I'd have expected it to be the other way around. Cheers, Kev |

Hi Not yet. Just making this into a dolly so I can safely make changes. Maybe in a few days. I am working on additional weapons meantime and ill post some up |
Armiesarmy | 29 Oct 2012 10:45 a.m. PST |
Ok Dilemma time
Do I have A:) Shoulder fired weapons (big) and standard support weapon held in arms. B:) Shoulder fired weapons (big) and BIG heavy weapon held in arms hmmmm Keith AA |
MrHarold | 29 Oct 2012 10:52 a.m. PST |
I said the same thing on Lead-Adventure
but: How about something like this:
With weapons built into the arms?
|
Dragon Gunner | 29 Oct 2012 11:04 a.m. PST |
Choice A The shoulder weapon is a a grenade launcher or small cannon. The handheld support weapon has a huge drum fed source of ammunition or a back pack source of ammunition. |
Kev1340 | 29 Oct 2012 11:49 a.m. PST |
Choice A works for me, though I do like Mr Harold's suggestion of arm mounted weapons. Cheers, Kev |

me to. Just need to find the time to get back to it! to many things going on! |

How about an Assault Class, Weapons in arms, shorter ranged, high rate of fire, "smoke" launchers on back, with a grenade system on one shoulder and a micro missile on the other? A few could use a flame weapon as well to help clear out bunkers and trenches. These would be shock style troops, as they will consume ammo at extreme rates, might need bot mules to follow them in. As for the standard trooper, I can see an all weapons are mounted approach. One member has a mortar style weapon, a few others with micro missiles for direct anti armor, perhaps even a medic for the power armor with a small bot on the back that works on the armor while the medic works on the man. These would carry the guns and flames with them. And all would need mule bots for ammo supply, Star Medic book has a good showing of supply for power armor, along with issues for medic in this type fighting. One last thing, and sorry for rambling, also consider how they get in or out of the suit. Great line of minis looking forward to all the great stuff you come out with. |
