It covers the Bar Confederation, the Constitution War and the Kosciuszko Uprising.

I've got to say I'm very excited about this one, especially the Bar Confederation stuff (my internet searches have failed me in the past looking for uniform info on this one). There are small previews of 3 of the plates on the link.

I think the Bar Confederation fighting would be ideal for Sharp Practice, with smaller forces and colourful characters (guerilla leaders, French advisors, Russian officers on the make and the like).

This is great news. Now, all we need is for someone to introduce a 28mm range for the Insurrection.

Looks like an interesting book.

That, and some 15's, too, for some sweeping, epic battles!

thumbs up

That's reminded me, DAF. I bought some figs to have go at converting some 1790s Polish infantry at Britcon (I've been obsessed with this period since seeing the Raclawice panorama). It slipped my mind with moving jobs. I think I'll do a couple of test conversions at the weekend, got nothing else lined up. It'll either go well or end up in a mess of greenstuff, the latter being more likely.

I do hope someone does a range at some point. Though, the way new ranges are coming along thick and fast, who knows? Never thought Freikorps Werdenfels woulsd get its own range.

If only they'd do a companion volume for the Russians.

Looking forward to it. I hope I get a color plate of Berek Yoselovich and his merry men.

I'm sure I've seen a 15mm range somewhere, Saginaw, along with 15mm Potemkin uniform Russians and late 18th century Swedes.

Edit: Falcon Figures is the one I was thinking of.

Yes, Falcon 15s are the only company that makes figures for this period.

A nasty period with lots of colorful characters. Good that Osprey is making a MAA book

It will be the first Osprey I've bought in quite some time.

someone should let the good folks at the Raclawice panorama know, so they can get in a few copies for the shop.

The Polish painter Gembarzewski made a uniformseries about the Polish army in the 18th century. I have a Russian link somewhere, were his complete work is available for download.

So far I found this blog, showing a lot of the plates for the period

But it will be good to get some text I can read from Osprey for this subject:-))
