who makes those lancers ? |
wrgmr1 | 21 Oct 2012 9:17 a.m. PST |
They look like Front Rank. Excellent paintwork! Just as a point on the horses, I've never seen white in the eye of a horse unless it was enraged. |

Really nice job, well done!!! Raglan |

Excellent painting. I hope Perry Miniature will make this unit, their horses can't be beat, action posed. They have Polish lancers! |
danikine74 | 21 Oct 2012 11:01 a.m. PST |
Yes they are front rank, i love the riders and humans, but i think horses are underscaled, or too small, i know they were light cavalry
here some pictures of horses i think they fit better as heavy cavalry, but maybe light too link I Knew about the white in their eyes, i painted jusrt a bit, but certainly they show too much, i will re paint eyes! Photography is made by a frind of mine, i never will take those great pictures from my kitchen and with my camera!! |

Roaring or chargin front rank horses are not bad, at least more dynamic, but still small for me |

great painting but give the trumpeter a grey horse |
danikine74 | 22 Oct 2012 2:20 a.m. PST |
The grey horse. I prefered not to give it to the trumpeter, why? i wanted to difference it from a pure french unit. In the heat of the action and while participating in a long campaign, the grey horse might have died too
i m very happy with the pictures and the photography work done! Thanks for the comments |

Very nice, I really like the 'N' on the saddlecloth. I'm currently doing them for a customer using Perrys Guard Lancers. Not quite the correct kit, but they fit in with the rest of order, all being Perry's in sculpting. I often paint the horses eyes gloss black at the end of painting depending on the figure. |
danikine74 | 01 Nov 2012 11:38 a.m. PST |
i do prefer perrys horses! i ussualy matt varnish the rider, satin the horse ( i do allways find the horse skin shining!) . Now glossy eyes
good idea Next, maybe front rank riders and perry horses
expensive but

Hello, I saw your figures on ebay and I want to buy the control unit including bearer, and you can let me know the total cost including shipping costs for Italy? I think £ 8 Shipping for miniature is excessive and perhaps for this reason I have made offers on ebay. greetings |

Hi Sanipa, end me an MP on ebay, i dont know how to send you an PM here

Garde de Paris | 11 Nov 2012 11:33 a.m. PST |
Wonderfully-done figures! I wonder if the troopers lance may be a bit too long. Rousselot would have us believe that the Guard and French line lancers carried weapons about 9 feet long in total. I hope this link is accepted, but I found a couple painted flat 30mm fiures of both Garde and cossaks with lances: link GdeP |
