This is what I'm talking about:
link I found that image by mistake and am wondering if anyone is using them for their 15mm SF terrain projects. I've seen lots of drywall anchor sleeves, but none as detailed as those blue ones above. Anyway, what have you used them for? Thanks, Dan |

I haven't used them for anything. I don't game sci-fi, and my old house has wooden walls. But they look a little like missiles to me. Or maybe ends for quick disconnect systems. Considering the all different stuff you get into, you should find them useful. Have fun. |

WOULD happily use them for a invisible force field fence-posts ala Lost in Space. (or Forbidden Planet). |

Not used them but. Power generators could be a go with a number stuck close together. Perhaps also communication beacons. Would perhaps depend on how big they are. |

Space Ships! You could even do damaged ones by inserting the screw, making them splay out, and leave them on the table as space junk that would now become something to maneuver around, or else
. Just a thought

Deflatermouse, if you're thinking force field posts, check these out: link Dan |

A Dalek's tall, skinny cousin? You'd need to fill the holes and give it an arm, of course. Grelber |

I see a lot of potential in those. Gun barrels Missiles Spaceships Fence posts Scifi chimneys Scifi support posts Small vaporators Energy barrier posts Really the list goes on and on.. -Eli |

Agree with all of that
The good part is the layer of detail with a small footprint for creating obstacles for LOS without really blocking vision on the tabletop. And in that same thinking, these also would bring it home :) (plastic truss head screw)
(triple expansion plastic anchor)

Wow. Awesome!!! I still would love to find out who sells the blue ones pictured at the very top of the thread. Any suggestions on how to track those down? Dan |

When I was heavily into GSLIGHT converting, I haunted both the hardwre and jewelry aisles. |

I have used very simillar ones – halves of them as a parts of buildings. It takes paint, esp spray very well. Looks OK to me. |

CC unfortunately, the main issue is that no one in the industry that uses those anchors care what they look like. So the wholesale providers only care if the size and function match
this batch of 100,000 will most likely not match the next. Best thing to do is check local
Lowes, Home Depot, and other large construction supply houses
see what they have to offer
you may get lucky and most likely will find several other fun bits. |

28mmMan, I really like those gray ones you linked to above. I can see lots of potential as force-field posts and other things like the base of communication antennae:
