I have just put up another two of my Oggam sculpts on my site, as well as my Criat alien Merc that's hopefully going in the SHM range at 15mm.co.uk in the next few months!

I like your minis.

And if you send Criat to SHM I will buy it!

Kyn ell20 Oct 2012 7:28 a.m. PST

thanks! The criat has been sent yesterday to be cast for the SHM range and it's been provisionally accepted for the range, if it passes the tests to see if it would survive the moulding process (which it should no problem) it should be available soon! I'm looking forward to see what everyone paints them up like when they are done!

Any thoiughts on having a swordsman, or a guy with a sword in one hand angd a gun in the other?

Kyn ell20 Oct 2012 5:37 p.m. PST

For the Oggam or the criat?
The Criat I'd like to maybe some more with different weapons, while the oggam, I have got two with swords and guns so far, i'd like to do loads of different Oggam poses and styles, I'm quite open to suggestions for the Ogs, So if you have a good idea let me know , I'm just awaiting the delivery of some new putty to do some more! I'm quite tempted at the moment to do a set of "not" ABC warriors type bots as well!

THEAXECHIPMUNK21 Oct 2012 5:20 a.m. PST

No, I meant for the Oggam, but I saw the sword Oggam again so I guess that area is filled. For the Criat, more would be cool, especially some DOG-like enemys. What is "ABC"?

Kyn ell21 Oct 2012 5:50 a.m. PST

The ABC warriors

I would like to do some "inspired" by them, I wouldn't want to get into any license issues etc, but they would be very cool in 15mm.
I'll no doubt make a whole host of suitable alien enemies for the Criat, as well as the Oggam (They tend to fight among themselves mainly)

THEAXECHIPMUNK21 Oct 2012 7:18 a.m. PST

For the Oggam: Heavy Infantry, High Commnd , troops in Armor (ORK-Liek.).

Eli Arndt21 Oct 2012 7:22 a.m. PST

Just to complete the above – ABC means Atomic, Biological, Chemical. It's a designation of a level of battlefield environmental protection. Now days they tend to use NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical).

I like the idea of high command, I'd have to do a few different sets for the various factions though!
Heavy infantry is definately on the cards too, as are cybog commandos and powersuits. They have been planned all along from the beginning, they look like a cross between Tin cans and the robot dog from Wallace and grommit! To be honest, I have a ton of ideas for them, I thought up Truffle miners the other day, with burrowing tools and big drills, each with a loyal Pigdog (Oggam beasts) to sniff out valuable truffles!!

Farstar22 Oct 2012 1:37 p.m. PST

Pigdog?

Make both "wild" (no gear at all) and "domestic" (truffle hunting gear) versions, to add to the 15mm critter collection.

THEAXECHIPMUNK22 Oct 2012 2:30 p.m. PST

So you are amaking Cat and Pig Peoples, what about Sheep!

Kyn ell22 Oct 2012 5:54 p.m. PST

Yes, I will attempt a set of Baahl sharpshooters (That's the hybrid sheep types) and a Mugal with a handler (thats the hybrid cattle matuation, like a chaos minotaur)
I made a point originally all the main genetic stock on Old Oggam (OG113) was originally part of a GM experiment to produce enough food for the earth and colonies in crisis. So, yes there are Sheep/ram hybrids in remote areas semi civilised, like wild natives on certain islands, some end up getting employed by oggam war bands as snipers, as they are pretty good with missile weapons and guns.
The Mugal are monstrosities that are born from the now native huge experimental cattle that carry the rogue DNA from the original hybridisation experiments before, or born from a wild mugal mating with a normal female (Mugal are always male, as they carry the DNA)
The Pigdogs are going to be a cross between a bulldog and a boar, and now you mention it, I think I should make both types, that way the Beast master/handler figure can have two options (Maybe more if I make up some other alien grebblies…!)
