YouTube link I suspect that the badass Y-Wing pilot who burns the two TIE fighters early on is the same unsung survivor-hero of the Death Star Assault. |

Thanks, that was nice to watch. Absolute and total silliness

I kinda think that Y-Wing may be behind all the Rebel Successes. He's that non-conformist in the office who works his ass off and pulls stuff out of the fire but is constantly passed over for promotion to an X or A wing. Finally he sucks it up and decides to pimp out his Y-Wing outside "Normal Channels". He probably has Fuzzy Tie Fighters hanging from his Mirror. Maybe a Zebra-striped Seat Cover. And a pasted picture of a Stormtrooper Chick he met in a bar on Alderaan before the damned Imperials blew it up. You know the girl:

Isn't she a little, hmmm, short, for a Stormtrooper, wah wah wah |

I need to make him a Special Pilot Card for X-Wing. |

Surprisingly, belly-shirt stormtrooper armor wouldn't actually offer any less protection than the normal kind. |

I never noticed, at 4:35 there's a quick moment of a Star Destroyer exchanging broadsides with a Nebulon-B frigate. Kind of cool to see! |

I suspect that the badass Y-Wing pilot who burns the two TIE fighters early on is the same unsung survivor-hero of the Death Star Assault. I doubt it – the voices sound quite different. However, the "unsung survivor" is Horton Salm. |

You have absolutely no sense of humor Andrew. LOL |

"I suspect that the badass Y-Wing pilot who burns the two TIE fighters early on is the same unsung survivor-hero of the Death Star Assault." What's the time on this? I can't find it--maybe because the video's resolution is too low. |

I want drink with that Y-Wing pilot if he's meeting stormtroopers that look like that. |

I don't want to start a nerd fight, but Horton Salm is neither the Y-Wing survivor from A New Hope nor Red Two from ROTJ. Horton Salm did not fight in the first Death Star battle and was the leader of Gray Squadron in ROTJ. The Y-Wing survivor from the first Death Star battle is identified as Keyan Farlander, the pilot from the X-Wing simulation game. The Y-Wing pilot that kills the three TIE Interceptors in ROTJ is an unknown pilot with the callsign Red Two. I fear that I have let slip that I am a huge dork but oh well. |
wminsing | 18 Oct 2012 1:57 p.m. PST |
But is Keyan Farlander Red Two in ROTJ??? That would make Only Warlock correct. :) Based on recollection of the games, Farlander WAS by far the most badass Rebel pilot; The player (Farlander) had to fight his way out of some crazy missions. -Will |

I had the X-Wing Collector Series. That was one badass game and series! Talk about crazy missions. I wish they had such good games like this on the Xbox 360. BTW how do people remember all those crazy SW pilot names? Hats off to JeremyR! Video run time is about 8 minutes. I had forgotten how wooden "It's a trap" is delivered. Plus, Akbar's fingers flip around an awful lot! And Nien Nunb is such a muppet in his actions! |

Thanks, OW! Ah, finally found it! The Y-Wing was so small in the (low resolution) shot that I hardly made it out. "Hey, you trap them at your six, and I'll shoot them down!" "Uh, you do know I'm in an A-WAAAAAHGGGGG!!!" |

I meant to post this the other day in response to wminsing's question but I forgot until this morning. Keyan Farlander was definitely not Red Two in ROTJ. He flew a B-Wing during the Battle of Endor. |

I fear that I have let slip that I am a huge dork but oh well. true, unlike the rest of us who are reading this thread and posting on it :P |
