Well, I've been working on my homebrew fantasy rules of late and especially the world map. I've been having a helluva time trying to find free map fonts that I can use to indicate various features like mountains, water, swamp, and the like. My Google-fu is weak and I'm not finding anything on my searches. The reason I'm looking for a font type is that it's cut-n-paste and I can easily just populate the map without taking a ton of time hand-drawing features. I guess some kind of dingbat/webding font is what I'm looking for, right? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have to play solo, so the map is just for my private use. I really can't see investing in software like Campaign Cartographer, etc. just for a one-off map for my own use. As always, thanks in advance! |

"Da Font" is the best place to go for free fonts. The selection is enormous and they are all free to download. |

Click on the Free link for an online version (no download / install needed). autorealm.sourceforge.net
GNU free If you just need fonts to put on a map, google these:
