Inspired by the first half of Last of the Mohicans the Shed hosted ‘The colonels daughters' a scenario set in the French Indian Wars using M&T rules (28mm) – please feel free to drop by and have a read of the full battle report and pictures.

Very nicely done – excellent terrain and minis and a cracking good AAR!

The She Wars did bring me to a few blogs which raised an eye-brow; nothing much to do with wargaming or pulp fiction.

Back on track; nice layout and report.
Cheers,

Very nice indeed. Who makes the Redcoats figures please?

EricThe Shed13 Oct 2012 12:15 p.m. PST

Hi Paul B

Redcoats come from Redoubt Enterprises – great range of 28mm FIW

redoubtenterprises.com

also check out Galloping Major – I have a load of stuff on my painting table waiting…

Lovely table setup and looks like a great game.

Just got a copy of these rules, so looking forward to giving them a try.

Enjoy the rules – they seem to capture the spirit of the age

Very nice job you have done on that!

Those terrain pieces are top notch. I may borrow some of your ideas for my own FIW/AWI project.

Thanks for sharing!

Eric, just fantastic. A real feast for the eyes and an inspiration to look at. I'm constantly working on getting my table to look better.

Would you say the Redoubt French and British regulars are of a similar size to The Galloping Major's figures?

I've been waiting for him to come out with some regulars, but I'm about to give up and try someone else.

EricThe Shed15 Oct 2012 11:39 a.m. PST

Hi Crossover Miniatures

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Ref Redoubt versus Galloping Major – good news they are the same size. I really like the Redoubt figures as these were the first I bought….however when money permits I will be buying more of Lance's Galloping Major stuff

Keep working on the table – if you look back at my blog (a year ago) youi can see hoew the experience starts to pay off…

Best wishes

Eric

Hey Eric
Your fort looked good by itself in the pictures, but on the table with all the scenario laid out around it, it looks the proverbial "dogs B…" Lovely table, nicely set up..hope you enjoyed the game.
regards
Pete

Cheers Pete

Literally just finished playing the next scenario – titled the 'Pay Chest' – will post piccies in the next few days

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, here and on the blog. This period has already generated lots of new
ideas and a few new players – anybody else in the SW London, Surrey area drop me a line if you want to roll the dice…

Love to join you Eric, but I'll have to brave the M25 and the English channel. Been living in France for the last 20 years,(but I'm still a staunch Redcoat at heart).
I'm looking forward to the next piccies you post though.
Good luck
regards
Pete.

Eric,
I had a look at your blog, really nice, great piccies, especially the jubilee march past, brought back great memories of those lovely britains figures, I used to have a load of the bandsmen but the ones from Kelloggs cornflake packets in the 50s and early 60s, sadly only 5 or 6 remain. Keep up the good work on the blog.
Cheers
Pete

EricThe Shed28 Oct 2012 12:51 p.m. PST
