I used the Ship card FFG Posted to create my version and guessed at points!

You really did a good job on the 'touch up' of that model.

Oddball10 Oct 2012 11:23 a.m. PST

That looks fantastic. Well done. Is that the snap-together kit?

Only Warlock10 Oct 2012 11:30 a.m. PST

Sure is Oddball! Just did a Strong Ink wash over it and wiped off the excess.

Here is the Falcon with all my Rebel ships:

Look out Imperials!

Only Warlock10 Oct 2012 12:21 p.m. PST

Just realized this is the group that survived the Death Star Attack!

Don't you hate when you "Fat finger" a post title? I sure do.

"Millennium Falcom" indeed.

Le Sigh.

It sounds like the name of an IT start-up.

Looks cool!

Love your base for the ship.

artbraune10 Oct 2012 1:38 p.m. PST

@Mike – any way to tilt the comm dish down on the model kit? Or is it going to be a knife job?

vojvoda Inactive Member10 Oct 2012 1:43 p.m. PST

Great stats old man what next? A one to one Death Star!

I have a few from other sets that I think might work as well. I just looked at the game at target last night. Did not get it as I am cheap and want to order a bunch off line on payday.

Art, it's a knife job, but an easy one. just trim the nub and tilt.

How did you do the base?

I have the falcon and transport from the rebel base model that I need to base up.

Only Warlock10 Oct 2012 2:05 p.m. PST

The Base is one of my Extra "Firestorm Armada" Bases. Litko makes some similar ones for order as well.

I used Photoshop to modify the "Luke Skywalker" Card and Base counter and printed them out, adhering the Counter to the base with a thin layer of white glue.

Very cool! And thanks for the plug!!'

Only Warlock10 Oct 2012 2:49 p.m. PST

Any time, Scotty. It's well earned.

artbraune10 Oct 2012 2:51 p.m. PST

@Mike – what did you mount the card on? Hobby foam?

Only Warlock10 Oct 2012 2:53 p.m. PST

Actually, I have two Starter sets. Since you can only use 1 unique Pilot in a force, I used my extra Luke Skywalker card and mounted it with a thin layer of white glue.

Only Warlock10 Oct 2012 2:55 p.m. PST

I still need to make a Command Dial for it, but should not be too hard. I will probably scan and alter the Y-Wing Dial and mount it on a bit of cardboard.

artbraune10 Oct 2012 3:03 p.m. PST

@Mike – can you take a few pics of how you put the dial together? Also – black or brown inkwash?

Thanks for all the pointers too!

Only Warlock10 Oct 2012 3:05 p.m. PST

Art, I used Army Painter Dark Tone Quickshade ink. It's black.

As soon as I am happy with the Dial I'll post pics!

Excellent job on the whole package, Only Warlock!

Love the deathstar "terrain" Do you make/sell that? Anybody know if there are photo images we could download and then mount on cardboard. I would guess I could make the towers out of styrene and maybe an old WWII Battleship model (I think they used some of that stuff in the movie model I saw at the Smithsonian years ago. Thanks

Wargames Vault has PFD for I think $5.00 USD that will work until you can get a "real" set.
