I would like to do some modern combined arms games. IS there any resource to see how much is available at 1/144 scale? I have a couple of the prepainted tanks but kits would be okay as well.

Tank availability is decent.

APCs and IFVs are generally much harder to come by, as are other specialist vehicles, e.g. armored cars, etc.

Aircraft and helos are pretty widely available.

I've tried to get Wargames South to expand into the modern era with some logical first releases, e.g. Marder, BMP, FV-432, M-113, BRDM-2, Luchs, BTR-60, Jagdpanzer Kanone, Gepard, ZSU-23/4, etc., but without success.

Hmmm, I stand corrected, the Marder and Warrior at least are in the works, according to their website:

wargames-south.com

Hope that means they'll at least do the BMP, FV-432, M-113, Jagdpanzer Kanone, BRDM-2, and Luchs as well, ASAP.

Minifigs had a lot of moderns in N scale (1/160). Several versions of the M113, BMP, Marder, FV432, BRDM-2 (many variants)Luchs, Fuchs, Kanone, Gephard, ZSU 23/4 Zil Trucks, and of course MBTs to go with them.

Their infantry and support weapons are top shelf in this scale! The differences beyween 1/144th and 1/160th is very small and many have been using the plastics and filling in with metals for over a decade, now.

Good luck in your pursuit!
