Currently (!), it would be the 15mm Modern Russians I am painting up for the various post-1992 Chechen Wars. Im waiting for Eureka to release their 15mm Chechens, hopefully in November. Using the same minis, I plan to game the 1990's Abkhazian-Geogian Wars as well as the Uzbekistan vrs Islamic insurgents conflicts at a later date. Lastly, I have a few Somalies ill be painting up for the current insurgency against the African Union forces (this one in 28mm). Yours? |

I suppose my most obscure stuff centers around the Reformation, namely the Pilgrimage of Grace, the Prayer Book Rebellion and the German Peasants' War. I also have forces for Henry VIII's 1544 campaign in France. Well, to be honest I have stuff for pretty much any scrape Henry got himself in. All 28mm. I also do the First Opium War in 28mm. Not too obscure IMHO. I'm working on a sizable project for the Third Mahratta and Pindari War. |

"The Yankee Canuck War of 1885." Man, that's so obscure I've never even heard of it! :) I suppose my most obscure army is Wallmoden's Corps 1813-1814. Wallmoden's Corps fought in a sideshow in the North of Germany during the War of Liberation, overshadowed by the battle of Liepzig. While obscure, I've noticed it's a popular choice amongst wargamers because of the colourful, multi-national nature of the corps. |

The Greco-Turkish War of 1897. It started out as just one unit of Greeks, and that was going to be it. Somehow, it just grew and grew. Honest! Grelber |

Not recently, but 1848 revolutionary street battles back in the day. More recently, Vendee Royalist counter-revolution. I'm eyeing Garibaldi vs. Neapolitans
but will press Napoleonic troops into service rather than collecting new figures. |

War of the Triple Alliance. Very obscure (and weird!) |
mghFond | 01 Oct 2012 9:15 p.m. PST |
I do War of the Triple Alliance, also once did the Vendee insurrection but sold those. Among some of my other wars: Ogaden War of 1979 between Ethiopia and Somalia Taiping Rebellion in 19th century China Mexican Revolution of 1910-20 Chinese Civil War between Reds and Nationalists 1946-49 Spanish conquistadors against the Mapuche in Chile And I do not own any American Civil War stuff nor any Napoleonics. So yeah, I guess I like unusual wars. |

Adventures in Nyasaland in the late 1800s. And WW2 German invasion of Yugoslavia. I know, not that obscure. But the most such that I'm gaming. |

I think mine are all fairly boringly mainstream, although SCW used to be a bit obscure it isn't any more. I remain fascinated by the Austro-Prussian War of 1866, which seems to get less airtime than its big brother of 1870. |
Pictors Studio | 02 Oct 2012 4:08 a.m. PST |
It would probably be the Carlist Wars but that is kind of main stream now with its own board and all. |

We have done the Paraguayan War (aka, the War of the Triple Alliance) so much that "no South America" has become a running joke in my group. We are fooling around with Garibaldi's various campaigns. Mentana anyone? |

Does WW2 count as obscure? Nothing really comes to mind.

vojvoda | 02 Oct 2012 9:16 a.m. PST |
Wars of Liberation in Latin America. Second to that would be Somalia in 93 or Haiti in 94. I do not game them but have advised and developed scenarios and technical support to those conflicts. VR James Mattes |
religon | 02 Oct 2012 9:17 a.m. PST |
The 9th Crusade seems rather obscure among gamers. For fantasy, my Blood Bowl "Slime-o" custom team of jellies, oozes and Lovecraftian horrors is unusual if not obscure. I have collected, but yet to game, a historical "what-if" involving the last days of the Romanovs where they fight their way out of the Red prison. I also have plans for African conflicts of the Kushite Empire and the establishment of the 25th Dynasty of Egypt that I have never seen gamed. |

Why do you think you are the only one Sundance? Au contraire, I've been deploying a Yerboutian (pronounced yer-BOOSH-an) army on my wargame table for years now. The latest scenario involves a nasty border conflict with North Yerbouti. |
