I was wondering if any system has a scenario for fighting the Yorktown "siege" of 1862? I was thinking of writing one for VnB. |

Our club does a good bit of grand tactical ACW. I haven't seen a Yorktown scenario--but that's a month-long period. What would the scenario be, exactly? Dam No. 1? A speculative Federal attack earlier? For most of the siege it would be a pretty lop-sided scenario (at least 3-to-1). The odds might improve if you wrote a speculative scenario for May, assuming Johnston didn't abandon the line before the planned Federal attack. If you do come up with something for VnB, I'd be interested to read it. |

Less lop-sided than you'd think. Early planning shows that on contact (5th Apr) Magruder had 12 massed stands (VnB) to McClellan's 16 and 21 to 25 after ~ 15th, with options for additional reinforcements on both sides. |

The 'On to Richmond' scenario book for 'Guns at Gettysburg' has Lee's Mill and Dam no. 10, which are part of the Yorktown battle. |

Years later I've noticed this post I made, and I should mention I made a scenario: link |
