I would if she would but she doesn't so I don't. The closest we come to wargames is Uno. Rob |

Wargames: no (well not for many years, since WRG 6th actually) Boardgames: very very occasionally. RPGs: yes. LARP: we both used to a lot she still does I don't. Freeform RPGs: I tried it once didn't enjoy it but she is a regular. We both get to play the games we want when we want but it is not that common that we play a game together. IMO it's a win win. |

No but my little ones might be an option. I just picked up HeroQuest (for £3.00 GBP at a charity shop, complete!) and found both my girls, 4 and 5, drooling over it. 'Daddy, it's got zombies in it!'. So, instead of ebay it looks like I'll be hanging on to it and seeing if they like it. |
Angel Barracks | 30 Sep 2012 5:09 a.m. PST |
Yup. We have played Napleonics and FUBAR. Also Talisman the boardgame oh and the odd bit of GOW on the Xbox. |
45thdiv | 30 Sep 2012 5:21 a.m. PST |
Mainly RPGs and board games. She does like Napoleonic naval miniatures, close action rules. |

Yes, Other Half even has her own Serbian Empire army I painted for her. She is 4 and 0 against me with them. We play Ironclads with miniatures, Battle tech, A Call to Arms Star Fleet, Wings of War and many other eras. The Other Quarters, two daughters, also enjoy gaming as well as have their own armies and miniatures for several eras. |

Not wargames, but we do have a have an ongoing D&D campaign that I run for her. There have been a few sessions that were mass battles. I do play DBA and HoTT with my children. |
kallman | 30 Sep 2012 10:36 a.m. PST |
No but I do run a Pathfinder campaign for her and my two sons. At one time she did have a passing interest in Man of War and was pretty good with her Chaos Dwarf fleet. Sadly it was a passing phase. We do play World of Warcraft together and now Rifts online. |

Have a small cadre of lady historical miniature gamers. The only issue is
. If they win or draw, we go dancing (ballroom or Latin) for the evening, if I win, they sign up for another future game. One or two games per quarter seems to be the average. Always give the ladies the stronger side or points but no "cute" stuff. Napoleonic, WWI aerial (WOW/WOG) are the preferred favorites as they like the colorful uniforms. One is nicknamed "the Red Baroness" with dressed red neck scarf for the WWI aerial actions. P.S. The ladies tend to bring lunches/snacks as a side note. |

Very Rarely – a single game of Wings of War and one Western Gunfight using "The Rules With No Name" are the only "wargames" in 20 years. That said we've played a lot of different boardgames over the years including plenty with combat of some sort. Best of all she has bred two very keen young gamers and painters so I am rarely short of a hobby buddy! |
Lenore | 30 Sep 2012 8:05 p.m. PST |
Frank thinks gaming rather strange. It is his only flaw. |

Thomas Nissvik | 02 Oct 2012 2:18 a.m. PST |
She collects figures but they have yet to make it to the table. Maybe just as well, because we play Memoir 44 and she beats me like a borrowed mule at that, I'm not sure my fragile male ego could handle if she beat me in a mini game as well. |
COL Scott0again | 02 Oct 2012 2:49 a.m. PST |
Never asked her because after playing Risk with her she was upset because I kept attacking her teritories that she had just spent "All that effort to take". She has many other high points, marrying me, being the mother to our five children, she "enjoys war movies", and other things not to be discussed on TMP. |

Boardgames (Euros). Has done some historial games. Paints very occassionally – relaxing and absorbing. Has some 15mm Egyptians has been working on for years. |

My ex and I played Battleship' boardgame a few times. She indulged my hobby. My current tolerates it. The closest she got was to admire some of the horses I had just finished painting; and that's been the extent of our gaming together. But lucky me, she has other redeeming qualities. Rather that wargame together, we dance a lot, take lessons, etc. Guess I'm lucky
more than one hobby. One where I can go to my cave, another I share with my wife. |
