I have just finished building some market stalls out of styrene for my 15mm modern and dark ages figures.

I've built 9 stalls in all. They still await filling with goods and painting.

These are great. Really good variety. I wish I had seen yours before I did mine but ain't that the way of things?! I look forward to seeing them when they are done. Richard

Great!

Thanks for the comments chaps. I think I have found exactly the right stuff to use as fruits and veg for sale in the stalls: millet. It looks like tiny little spheres, just the right size for this scale, and I can buy more than I need for this whole project for about 15 cents.

Good work. I need to do some in the near future and will use your work as a reference.

are the market stall front sides embossed plasticard?

snodipous26 Sep 2012 9:03 a.m. PST

Yes, I bought a single piece of 'siding' styrene which is grooved at a scale that looks about right for the scale I'm using, plus a grab-bag with a whole bunch of miscellaneous pieces that I used for the rest of the parts. The siding styrene is nice, but it's pretty thick for what I wanted. The upside of that is that it's a bit easier to work with and should be fairly strong.

very nice "little buildings" !
too small scale for me, but the idea is good and I hope without copyright!!
