We were thinking of a skirmish game in, say, 40mm and I remembered that HLBS did a range of Special Forces (British, French, US and Russian)and Mujahadeen, but they appear to be no longer made. Does anyone know if they are still available or can suggest any alternatives?

For alternatives, how about the 1:35 scale stuff out there?

The 1:35 stuff tends to be multipart and poseable
Cheaper too.

I am planning on doing the same thing for Denver's next convention in Feb. Using FoF, I am prepping Bundeswehr fireteam for Afganistan. The Trumpeter guys are awesome and they even make variants of the G36 rifle. (I think Squadron even has some of the gun kits on sale this month.)

I have those guys and I think they are 1/48. Not sure on how many packs I have but if you're interested I can part with them (unpainted, in packaging still). You can email me at jfb6801 at Hotmail dot com.

Keep in mind you have to also have terrain for the game, not sure how much stuff is out there for 40mm.

Oh I thought you meant proper LArge scale like 1/12 or 1/6
