is there a difference between us marine and raf harriers colors, looking at some magazine photos there seem to be but that could just be the inks used by the magazines |

RAF Harriers from GR Mk 5 onwards went through a number of colour-schemes from dark green to medium grey to light grey. The RAF Harrier photo above isn't really a typical example, as it's obviously had some remedial work done and panels replaced with differently-coloured panels and is therefore clearly in need of a re-spray! :o) |

RAF GR Mk1s/T Mk2s were painted the usual RAF ground-attack scheme of the time, which was bands of green and mid-grey on the upper surfaces, with pale grey beneath (I can't remember the exact names for the shades).
The GR Mk3/T Mk4 also used this scheme when it entered service, but switched in the late 70s/early 80s to the new RAF ground-attack scheme, which was all-over bands of green and mid-grey, deleting the pale grey underside.
I don't know much about USMC Harriers, but all the photos I've seen of AV-8As appear to roughly match the earlier Harrier scheme used by the RAF:
