Interesting, I am painting these at the moment, but I'm going for leather lamelar rather than metal armour. How do others paint there Sarmatians?

I've used the rawhide set from Foundry- i.e. pale brown. Matches pretty well with the suit of lamellar armour found in the area. I'm sure the colour of that has changed over the last couple of millenia, but it is a guide.

@ Phillius – when I did my 15mm Sarmatians I did the barding as a mix of metallic and dyed-leather/hide/bone (not on the same horse).
