I was thinking of ordering some Plastic Soldier Company German infantry and using GZG head sprues to "sci-fi them up" a bit. That way, they can better serve as an indig OPFOR to oppose my offplanet mercs. Any chance anyone has performed such an operation or used the head sprues before? I've never done any conversion work on 15mm figures. Luckily, PSC stuff is (duh) plastic, so I'm not predicting too much difficulty. Tips are still appreciated, though. Also, feel free to post any WWII/modern->sci-fi stuff you may have! |

I like the GZG head sprues
I think I forgot to order more last time I placed an order though, d'oh! Here are some headswaps with Rebel and GZG figures and GZG heads:

So, just in terms of the mechanics of the conversions: do you pin the heads or just trust that gluing them on will be resilient enough? Bill |

The heads come on spigots (as do Peter Pigs). Personally I cut off the existing head using a flush cutter & drill a hole for the spigot, trim it to length & add a drop of superglue. The only extra step is the drilling. |

I do the same thing as Etranger. No pinning, but I do make a little bit of a hole with either a knife or the pin vise to give the head a place to rest, and then just a bit or super glue. |

I use a tiny bit of green stuff instead of super glue. Then remove excess. Dan |

I use a tiny bit of green stuff instead of super glue. Then remove excess. While I'm fairly stuck in my ways, I can see the benefit of not accidentally gluing little heads to my fingers :) |

I'm using liquid green stuff. A dab in the hole and drop in the head. so far I've judged it right and not even had to remove any excess. |

Great, thanks for the advice. Good to file away for future reference. Bill. |

There seems to be a whole world of heads sprues out there that I didn't know existed. I'm going to have to take a look around before ordering
