I found these on ebay while I was looking for something else:

auction

auction

There was something familiar about them. And the name Nexus kept coming to mind.

Are these the same ones?

Or am I just seeing something that isn't really there?

Thanks,

They are made from a cheaper plastic.

Pijlie18 Sep 2012 9:28 p.m. PST

Yep, Silent Death plastics. Sold by EM4 Miniatures currently.

Hey Dan. They are much larger. I own a bunch.

They are not the same : the stuff in the auction is made from soft rubber and are the ships from battlestation from gorilla games.

Sorry, you are incorrect. I own about 100 of these larger ones pictured in the auctions. They are a very hard plastic (not styrene). They certainly aren't soft rubber. I know a set that is but it isn't these.

Thanks,

John

Are these the designs stolen by a Chinese company. They were produced in a larger scale, and of a different material then the Em4 plastics. They are made for the gumball machines.

I'm pretty certain the rip-offs have come in a number of sizes and materials. I think I have one or two larger, rubber-like, and a few smaller, polypropelene?, ones.

Silly of me to have wished for larger, styrene, I know.

Old Robotech, misshapen Star Trek and Star Wars, quite lovely but whack-on-scale Message From Space, the old toys cranked out by some shops seem to have no consideration for IP.

*shrug*

I suppose we should be impressed the eBay seller is only adding on $2. USD ;->=

I too have a bunch of them. They are molded in a vinyl like plastic, similar to micromachines. They are larger than the EM4 plastic Silent Death fighters.

I got them here from a novelty toy specialist called US Toy. ustoy.com/toy-space-cruisers

Yup. Larger rip-off copies of our original plastic core ship designs.

The resin 3-to-1 scale ships will be coming back in the near future, plus a nice variety of previously unreleased subjects in 3-to-1 scale resin including the Night Brood.
