Got the game, and a bunch of extra ships. Does anyone have any great ideas for how to store them without taking them apart? |

I'm waiting for Battlefoam to make something. Ideally the tray will fit in the original box. |

Wal-Mart has some larger scale Tackle boxes (I use them for my Firestorm Armada ships. they will even handle Capital Ships) for pretty cheap. $10 USD or so. |

Found a tool box at harbor freight tools that has 4 removable plastic cases. I fit 8 ties in one with all of their bases and dials, same with 4 x and 2 twinge in another and all of the markers in a third. The 4th box is waiting for new releases. The top holds a card box with all the cards, a dice container, the rules and all of the measurement templates. Cost about 13 dollars. I can even squeeze my 3x3 mat in to the top or the spot where the 4th box goes. |

KR have just launched custom trays for the Star Wars X-Wing miniatures in the KR case range – see the link – link and the KR TrayGuide link as – link The X-Wing set "A" will carry all the tokens, dials, cards and dice needed for up to 10 of them. That means the 3 flyers from the starter game (X-Wing and 2 Tie fighters) plus another 7 of the expansion packs – X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Tie Advanced, or Y-Wing too. So carry up to 10 flyers in one easy to use set. The set fits perfectly into the half size aluminium or card case. |

Airborne Engineer, Can you store the ships on the pegs and stands in the cases? I have found most of what I see to be too shallow for the ships. VR James Mattes |

I've got one of the KR custom X-Wing cases and they fit the ships on the pegs and stands, plus all the extra tokens. For some reason it doesn't have a spot for the straight '5' movement marker though
so I just slipped them down the side of the case. Considering getting another as the collection grows. They are fragile models so I reasoned a sturdy case reduces the chance of breakages. |

You guys are going to a lot of trouble. I bought a clear plastic storage box about 6 inches high, with a lid that has a handle (green), for $4 USD at Walmart. It holds 14 ships and all of the game components except my 4' x 6' felt space battle mat. |

That's a good buy Clay, no doubt. I suppose the extra expense for me is worth it to cater for an enthusiastic 11 year old and a 7 year old that likes to 'help' carry things

Clay what department did you find that in. I check the fishing department here and they were too shallow for the ships. Too bad as they were nice cases (Plano) for about 8 bucks. VR James Mattes |

In the storage box area. In my store it was near the housekeeping stuff. |

I recently picked this up for my X-Wing components. link All of the tokens and the small cards fit up top and all of the rest fits in the bottom. It looks like I may even have room for a Millienium Falcon and a Salve I as well. -Ken |

Ken how many fighters can you get in the bottom A compartments. Do you store them put together (Stand, one alt peg, and ship) or do you have to disassemble? VR James Mattes |

The problem I see with the Red Plano is you can not keep them on the stands. With one peg you need 2 1/4 inches for the Tie Advanced, and about 2 1/2 for the Tie fighters. I have one box that is perfect that I use to use for my Pirates of Spanish Main ships. I have four more of those back in North Carolina that I might just bring back with me at Chistmas if I can not find a better fit. The box I am using holds about 40 ships (19 Tie, 12 X, 4 Tie Adv, and 4 Ys) all on stands but I would be better served by each side having it's own box with spaces for markers (six compartments plus) I have remade most of the markers to be more low profile without getting lost on the table. James, I store the figures and stands separately. Right now I have 3 x-wings, 3 y-wings, 3 tie fighters, and 3 tie advanced in the bottom and they only take up about a row and a half. -Ken |
