Do the Confederates have enough flags there? lol
All those Rebs and ONLY 2 Fedral casualties! Wow! LOL!

The explanation is easy: the more men carrying a flag, the fewer using weapons. Besides, those big flags sometimes get in the way of a good shot.

Notice the Confederate "coffee boilers" to the rear, having a good time watching the slaughter.

Note the traditional power pylons in some photos, a necessary part of any modern reenactment.

Isn't that great? Seeing the "dead"roll over to snap pics with their cell phone cameras,or not to miss the action…

I really think looking at the pictures that this reenactment was smaller. They didn't get the turnout but man I swear they have less men then the other campaigner event. Plus between the cars and the power lines running every where that dosnt look that authentic. Wow glad I went to the other one

There were about 6000 reenactors and 65 cannons.

So take away the cannons and there crews, and also minus the cavalary, there are probley less infantry then the other reenactment. Also why was the cav there? And if there where 65 cannons that works out to like a cannon per company of infantry. That's a little out of ratio don't you think? And just wondering out of the 6000 reanactors that where ther how many civilians, are they counted towards your total as well? Just recording my point that there needs to be a balance in this hobby and the people at rear rank productions do a better job.

Also love the USA today picture with general lee and his female staff officer. Way to be authentic on that one!

You maybe right, I don't know.

Also why was the cav there?

I don't know. I just wish they keep them on the far side of the field, like they did at last years 1st Bull Run reenactment.

Sure it was out of proportion, but it was really cool having all those guns firing.

And just wondering out of the 6000 reanactors that where ther how many civilians, are they counted towards your total as well?

I don't know. 6000 was the number that I heard mentioned. There was also a lot of Sutlers.

Look it's a Civil War reenactment. I have never been to one that I've been completely satisfied with. But, I still go because I enjoy them. If rear rank organizes a Gettysburg event next year, I'll skip the zoo and go to that reenactment instead.

They are putting on an event its the weekend before the Gettysburg zoo.
I would highly recommend it. They truly but us the reanactors first and it's a nice time.
