I need at least a pair of Centauros and a Tunguska, so I can game the scenario from James Cobb's CAV short story. (T72s are everywhere) |

To Lion in the Stars: QRF Makes the 2S6 Tunguska, it is a nice model. |

QRF makes the Challenger 2 Yes they do! Now I am not afraid to be critical of QRF's models, and am on record as saying look before you buy, as their range can be inconsistent, but I can assure you that their Challenger 2 is a beaut. I actually walked around a Chally II at Bovington RAC Centre Trials and Development unit, with one of their drivers, ex tanky of course, holding the QRF version in the palm of my hand. We couldn't fault it

Osprey vtol and most current CH-53 would be awesome additions to the 15mm market. Numerous scenarios could be created surrounding a downed bird or using the arrival of a bird on the table to pick up/ drop off troops. (You did say "vehicles" after all, not "tanks"). ;-) |
werwulf | 14 Sep 2012 2:46 p.m. PST |
@Sparks, I agree with you about checking before you buy with QRF as there are some great molds and some not so great. I disagree with you about the Challenger 2. There's just something wrong with it. I think it's the turret, to shallow. But that's just me. |

@Khurasan, you bring up a good point. Are you actually willing to make infantry for the most popular choices or would you make some current vehicles that dont have an existing accompanying line of infantry minis (ie the Indian Arjun) without doing the infantry? I may be one of only a few but Id love to see Modern Indian and Pakistan infantry done in 15mm. Hopefully some others are interested in the same? |

BTR-70,80 Stryker (MGS,FSV,or ATGM) T-55 US Army MRAP's Soviet BRDM |
Lion in the Stars | 14 Sep 2012 9:18 p.m. PST |
Oh, yeah. Definitely need the rest of the Stryker line. People forget that a single stryker company has 2 mortar trucks and 3 MGS organically, plus an Ambulance (higher roofline) assigned from BN. I'd also love to see some affordable way to do slat armor, even if that means faking it with slats&camo netting. |

I think it's the turret, to shallow. But that's just me We find it's often a case of perception over reality. People perceive tanks to be 'big'. After all, if one of the guys that drives it thinks it's right

Jon, since you are focusing on US vehicles and u have M1 & HMMWV covered MRAPS would be my next choice we have many variations of this vehicle so u would have many choices. I would recommend MaxxPro variation since we will keep this one. Also M-ATV's would be another I would add. JH |

North Korean Chonma-ho MBT.
Brazilian EE-9 Cascavel armoured car.

Does anyone do the S tank and IKV 90? |
Moqawama | 22 Sep 2012 1:04 a.m. PST |
Uesugi: the Zulfikar tank is neither more cramped nor roomier than a M-60 or a T-72 (the tanks which was derived from) as for his survivability, despite the propaganda you may be eager to believe or to deny credibility to, only a conventional war could tell and with Irak free of invading forces after 8 years (and thoroughly pro-Iranian) and Afghanistan to be vacated by invaders within the next two years, there seems to lack the chance of a land invasion being launched in the foreseeable future.
If you ask ME, I think that the Zulfikar programs (there have been 3 so far) show all the marks of a brilliant engineering achievement from a nation which places in military self-sufficiency (after the experience of the 1980-88 imposed war of which nowadays recurs the 32nd anniversary) a paramount priority for its security. |

khurasanminiatures | 22 Sep 2012 5:24 p.m. PST |
Actually making the Chonma-ho would be a convenient excuse to make the T-62, a tank I've always loved. Often seen as a failure but it was present at some of the largest tank battles in history (I mean the T-62, not the Chonma-ho). |
Moqawama | 22 Sep 2012 6:13 p.m. PST |
There are significant differences between the T-62 and the Chonmaho. But while you're at it if you want to make the Chonmaho then you'd have to do the Pokpungho as well.
|
khurasanminiatures | 22 Sep 2012 7:29 p.m. PST |
No, there are not significant differences, at least not to the basic shape. The Chonma-ho is basically a T-62 with add-on bits. |
Moqawama | 22 Sep 2012 7:55 p.m. PST |
|
khurasanminiatures | 22 Sep 2012 8:38 p.m. PST |
It's apparently only possessed in very small numbers whereas the Chonma-ho is the main tank of the army. The Chonma-ho would also be built off the T-62, so a versatile investment altogether. If you want it commissioned though, just say the word. Probably set you back about $600. USD |
