So what do you use to represent a force field or shield in your games, I have seen those small miniature clear Perspex dust cover domes used to good effect and also in a Gruntz batrep a Perspex disc that had a hexed etched surface and was placed upright in front of the miniature which visually looked great. |

Litko sells that disk with the etched hexes. I've also seen it done with acetate, but that's a bit too thin, IMO. |

For a cheap alternative, you can try vending machine capsules, like these:
250 for $15 USD on Amazon. |

@ javelin98 those vending machine capsules are more or less the same as the Perspex miniature domed covers i mentioned above, what a good find and unbeatable price for that amount, do you have any idea of their dimensions ? |

They come in various sizes, from 1/2" (12mm) to 2" (50mm). The ones above are 1" (25mm), which should work great for a 15mm fig, methinks. |

I want to use these domes as force shields for some Dr Who quad walkers (quad pod's) i have recently discovered that are just over a inch tall and just about perfect for a single creatures ride, does anyone have any other ideas before i go down this route? |

I was planning to do Litko tokens in transparent blue under the base of the shielded figure to indicate active shields. But I haven't figured out the vehicles answer yet. I might go down to Tap Plastics and pick up a sheet of the Appropriate plastic and cut to fit each vehicle. |

@Artbraune: yup, that's the one! For roughly round vehicles, I think I'd go for the cheap option of the toy capsules. For vehicles significantly longer than they are wide, I'd want to mess around with a basic vacuum-form bubble. |
