Does anyone make a 28mm not Will Smith type PostApoc figure ? Also looking for a suitable SUV vehicle with appropriate roof rack stores/supplys etc.

I think Kev from Hasslefree would work

His clothes fit, I think Will smith's character also wore fatigue pants and a hoodie?

I can't remember if he used a pistol in the movie though.

Cherno, I'd spotted him also and thought he could well be the closest if there wasnt a will smith figure produced. He did use a hand gun in the film and also used an M4 carbine (think thats what it is, any correction gratefully received)

I will never forgive that movie for killing that beautiful doggie.

Lead Adventure makes a clearly not-legend figure in their "The last heroes pack". He's even got the right gun!

For an SUV (I believe it was a Ford Expedition), I recommend a 1/43 scale car. Here's a mostly stock unknown brand toyota landcruiser and a converted new ray Land Rover that I made for a recent convention game.

Here's an actual 1/43 Ford Expedition

It's around 13 bucks or so, but if you're willing to not have the exact car, just search for 1/43 on ebay and you'll find alot of vehicles for less than $10 USD including shipping.
The link below is a search of the 1/43 vehicle section ommiting decal dealers.

Post Apoc Greatness!

They are some most excellent films, good characters very well sculpted!

Do 1:43 vehicles really work with 28mm figs? I would think they would be huge.

ordinarybass09 Sep 2012 8:25 a.m. PST

I've found that they work pretty well. They are larger than they should be, but by the time you take into consideration the "Heroic" width of most figs, and the base, they end up looking great on the table together. Also, most toys are "box scale" (scaled to fit the box rather than a strict scale) so some run smaller than 1/43. 1/48 is a good scale also for vehicles, but it seems that mostly trucks are made in that scale.

Here's some 1/43 vehicles scaled with 28mm figs. from the link I posted above.

Here's a review showing pictures of 28mm minis next to nearly all the Bburago 1/43 scale vehicles that are currently available at Dollar General for only $2.50 USD each.

Looks like more of the Book of Eli bent which is not a bad thing ;-)

@ordinarybass

You're right--they look pretty good, and with the variety and cheap cost it's worth it even if they look a bit large.

The Will Smith I Am Legend lead is the one on the left. The protagonist from the Book of Eli is the one in middle. The woman is from resident evil and the two on the right are the boy and dad from "The Road".

The Lead Adventure figs are what you want, IMO. Mounted on a fender washer, they work fine with other ranges.

The cars do look a little big, but at $2.50 USD they are perfect! Nice paint jobs too

Who are the other figs in the Lead Adventure pack?

Is that Milla Jovovich from Resident Evil? I recognise Viggo Mortensen and the kid but can't remember the film though.

The Lead Adventure figs are a good subject matter but the poses are a bit too static for me, unfortunate because I could easily use the characters.
