I have been wanting to make one of these for a while but struggled to find an option in 10mm. Then I found Pendrakens 17th/18thC SYW carriage here – pendraken.co.uk/SYW10-p3328 . Unfortunately there were no pictures on the site, or anywhere else I could find, which is frustrating. I took a chance and ordered one, hoping it would be suitable. It is a great little piece. Perfect for what I wanted. A bit of conversion work on the driver and all done.
More pictures and a writeup about the carriage here – link
Hope it is useful to someone, at least there are some pictures of the carriage up now. Cheers Ironlegs 10mmnapoleonics.blogspot.com |

Looks really good, have to agree with you about websites and lack of pictures. In theory I have 2 15mm Napoleonic armies but as they are Heritage/Naismith it could be argued they are 13mm. Currently I would like to add all those extra fancy peripherals – caissons, ambulances, baggage train etc So maybe I need to look at 'large' 10mm |

Ironlegs, let me begin by saying I love it. You did a wonderful job, and I think it is great to see those of us in the smaller scales (as my name indicates my main focus is 15s) adding interesting, some would say (though not me) unnecessary, detail to our collections. I think items like your carriage really enrich the look of a collection. And once again, yours looks terrific! Let me pass this along to yourpaceormine. if you ever decide you'd like your Napoleon to have a carriage, I found mine in the Preiser HO collection. It's expensive, but very nice. You can see mine as part of my Napoleonic collection and I might add that the Napoleon picture in this gallery is by Naismith (though slightly modified). If you like to take a look the carriage is in pics 5, 6, 7, and 8 at link |

I don't think Heritage or Naismith mix in with any current 10/12mm lines. I still have some Heritage and they are not only taller than Pendraken, they are also broader. But, you aren't the only one to notice scale creep :-) |
