Hi

Just updated my blog with some pictures of the first crusader minis. link


The minis are a mix…

Back row:

- 2 viking archers from Artizan, oen with a heas swap (GB plastic saxon head)

Front row:

- Knight from Curteys mini with a GB axe.

- Medieval spearmen from Curteys mini with a Warhammer head and GB Shield,.

- The last 3 are plastic GB viking/saxons with shield from Curteys/GB and GB the last one got the head with warhatt from the Curteys medieval spearmen…hope you got i all :)

As the winter are here I have decided to let it start to snow in my Baltic Crusade project… now on all the Baltic Crusaders will have winter bases and I also have to fix me some winter terrain, sledges and scouts on skis…

Here are som pictures of the 3rd Fors/Sledge for my Baltic Crusade

This one are built using the Perry RN 34 Single horse peasant/ Cossack wagon from the Russian napoleonic range.

As I already used the driver on one of the other sledges I had to make me a new one using a Gripping Beast Plastic Saxon with a hooded head from West Wind

I´m not just painteing woodland indians at the moment… I have managed to start painting some Baltic heathen for my Baltic Crusade project to:)

The first unit to be finished are a group of 6 skirmishers.

Rules used was the "Lion Rampant" by Daniel Mersey (Authour of the Dux Bellorum rules)

I start to see the end of the first part of my Baltic Crusade Project, left to do are:

12 Heathen Warriors – Almost done pictures in a day or so…

6 Swedish Crusader Knights – Not started.

12 Swedish Ledung Soldiers – Made some small conversions can you see in the picture below, they are now all primed and the painting can start…

Here are some pictures of the Gripping Beast miniature "Harold Godwinson & His Brothers" or at least one of his brothers. The last brother havent yet decided which side to part with…

Harold was drafted for my Baltic Heathen force and one of his Brothers sided with the Swedish Crusaders as they offer him a new shiny helmet and shield:)
