Here's the best picture I've found:

Here's another:

Seems to be a darker blue-grey. Any suggestions about the correct color?

I have watched a lot of Hollywood movies so I know that the RN never did a thing, let alone land American Heroes. Obviously a faked shot.

Isn't the colour sea gray? I will look to see.

Kodachrome pictures from the 1940s are simply wizard. The colors are always a bit dark, and yet the contrasts are amazingly crisp.

That being said, in my opinion, the LCAs are painted Royal Navy B5; Vallejo paint no. 60 "Intermediate Blue". The ship itself appears to be a pattern of MS 1, B5, B6, and 507 C.

David Glenn, I have a couple questions about your LCI. Please understand that my knowledge of landing craft is not great. With that said, your resin LCI doesn't have the appearance of what I have seen in terms of US LCI/Ls. Is yours a specifically British version? Also could you please tell me the name of the manufacturer. Until now I have only been away of the Lindberg kit LCI which is both small and long out of production. I'd appreciate any information you could provide. Thank you. Richard

When I was a kid they were all gray on our B&W TV.

Any pointers on how to paint the crew? I'm guessing that's actually a dark blue, not black? And the LCAs I have, the crew appear to be wearing helmets.

Here is a great link. It is of a plastic model, but the details are spot-on.
