Ok, not the best episode, but still a favorite of mine. I wanted to share some pictures of the Kettlewell K1 Robot, part of the Doctor Who action figures Classic Series Wave 1, that I acquired compared to my other 28mm Docotor Who miniatures. I think he looks pretty spiffy as the super-sized version of K1 in the last episode of the series. See what you think. Group shot

Like the giant robot. Your own paint jobs are great. |

Ah, yes, the robot that grows when disintegrated. A classic. Tom Baker's first storyline, wasn't it? |

Yes, it was Tom Baker's first full episode as the doctor. |

Its true that the large robot is on the screen for a few minutes, but you have a full fight going on between it and UNIT. A possible scenario would be how long can UNIT divert it from destroying the town and rescue Sarah Jane Smith before the Doctor and Harry show up with the bacteria/soap bucket. |

I could never get into classic Doctor Who, but that Robot has a lot of charm. |

And the episode has the advantage (as I recal) of a Scorpion AFV – easy enough to achive with a die cast off of ebay, I would have thought (and no less convinving than the Action Man one sixth scale item that a BBC technition pushed in front of the cameras for the actual episode!) John T |
