I dont think we've run this one since the whole Arab Spring took off. Not sure if that has changed anything. For the sake of this poll consider "Modern" to be from 1990 to 2020. You can include armies you own or are working on. I have the beginnings of a late 90s Russian army in 15mm thats so far unpainted. Once Eureka releases 15mm Chechens and OLA Chinese thats who they will go up against. Im also interested in eventually picking up 28mm and 6mm Chinese armies. |

Just my Yerbouti army and supporting/opposing units. I have an FFL squad, a Yerbouti platoon, some jihadists and may someday (if I can get off my butt and paint them) have a couple of other modern squads/platoons to support or oppose them (along with appropriate vehicles). |

hi, i'm working on figures for my middle eastern "Murdistan" imagiNation campaign using mostly plastic 20mm figures. I've nearly finished my mujahedeen, which are mostly Caesar plastics with some Irregular and Elheim metals and am now working on "Murdistani" regulars which are mostly Imex Korean War North Koreans but again mixed with Elheim metal figs. I recommend these figures as good generic Developing World regulars. They don't look much like North Koreans as they all have AK 47s or SKS carbines but make good generic troops wearing forage caps. As opponents for my "Murdistanis" I have a reinforced platoon of British regulars. These are finished but I now need to do some more vehicles for them. The aim of the project is to have enough stuff put together to run most of the scenarios in the FoF Road to Baghdad book, the Enduring Freedom book and the new Fallujah book. Setting everything in a hypothetical country lets me run all of the scenarios in all three books without having to duplicate forces (i.e collect Fedayeen and Taliban etc.) and also avoids upsetting the sensibilities of folks who don't like the idea of wargaming recent or on-going conflicts. My friend Goodwood and I played the first scenario of the Road to Baghdad campaign last week and we had a real blast. Photos and a report should be appearing on his blog soon. I the meantime here is a photo of the action: link |

Pushing back a bit earlier than the 90's, only a bit mind you. Currently working on an Iran-Iraq war project. The Iraqis are going to span 20 years of warfare though. Also working on some 2003 USMC as well as a modern ADF in Afghan project. My first completed village has already been fought over for 50 years. From the Israelis in 56 right through to the Australians today. My middle eastern terrain is so useful. |

@Dragon Gunner, you might contact Nic at Eureka and see about getting them on the 300 program. I would think Iranians would be very popular right now. |
