"2013 15mm Sci-Fi Miniatures Unit/Vehicle Exchange! " Topic

Good Morning!

Well, I had so much fun last time, I figured I'd start up another 15mm Miniatures Exchange!

I'm gonna use the same rules from ThroLongus:

This sign up will start today, August 28th and will end midnight of September 4th. On September 5th , no more signups will be accepted, and I will email all participants the addresses for mailing off their exchanges. This will be done randomly, so no one will be able to pick who they are sending to or receiving from. As well no requests for "what I would like to receive " will be honored.

I would like for all mailings to be completed no later than September 18th. All attempts will be made to match you up with someone from your region, should you request as much in your sign up.

The rules: This exchange involves sending out a 5 man team/squad or vehicle of 15mm, painted (basing optional) scifi,future,post apocalyptic, or near future miniatures. You will get the same in return. This could be a coherent, uniform squad of any race, or it can be a mixed mercenary type of unit. the bare minimum is 5 average humanoid sized 15mm minis. if you want to include some oversize (think ogryns/super mutants) that is up to you.

This can be minis painted just for this exchange or a squad long ago finished and collecting dust, but either way try to make it something you are proud of. As well it could be stock miniatures,lightly to heavily converted, all the way to original sculpts(for the over achievers). a brief note to the recipient may be a nice touch if you are sending obscure stuff.
While there is no guarantee that you will receive something up to your painting standard, I think it will be a fun way to expand your forces , and possibly enlarge your horizons.

2) PM, or e-mail TMPExchange@hotk.org: Include your TMP Username, name, email contact, and full address (including country!)
You MUST PM or EMAIL me, that way I can keep track of all the info

3) Include any mailing restrictions you wish honored (i.e. I wish to only ship to continental USA/ UK only etc.)

Got my figures picked, painted and waiting for the bases to dry before finishing them off. How's everybody else doing? Do we post pics of what we've done or of what we get?

I have my five picked out, and I'm about half way through painting them now.

Perhaps we'll start a new thread once we start receiving the minis, so it's more of a surprise ;)

Figures and vehicle chosen, figures painted, need to find my magnets to finish off the vehicle…

Airbrushing on the minis is complete, I need to detail and base. The vehicle is primed and turret magnetized, I just need to build and finish a base for it. I'm shooting to ship on Monday.

Figures AND Vehicles? I thought it was figures OR vehicles. Not that it's an issue as I have a vehicle that will be okay to go with the minis.

Yes, it's EITHER/OR.. not both, although if you're an over-achiever i'm sure no one will complain!!
