The German Heer was allowed to use its traditional salute prior to July 1944, when the Heil Hitler salute was imposed after the assassination attempt. What form did this take? Was it British palm-out style, more like the American palm-down, or something else? Once again, not referring to the Heil Hitler salute. |

Seeing those naval officers saluting Hitler (who's in his brown party uniform, so before the war, when he changed to field grey), reminds me of something Hitler said: "I have a reactionary army, a National Socialist air force, and a Christian navy." |

I found it funny that out of all the Naval officers only the one in the middle wasn't giving the party salute. Robert Here is the missing image from my previous post,
