Seems a petty question, but what the heck are these things supposed to be carrying – bombs or missiles? They look more like bombs, but it's hard to tell.

Not sure, since I haven't seen them, but they did carry very large bombs under their wings, during the war.

They look like very large, pointed droptanks.

I think they carried one of those under the centerline too.

Hey, Mako! Yup, they have two droptanks – one under each wing. The other munitions definitely look like bombs, though – one outboard of the each tank and two inboard. In trying to find photos of them in Argentine service, I come up with missiles outboard of the tanks and bombs inboard. Could be wrong, but that's the way I painted them. Thanks, buddy!

You're welcome!

Glad to try to help out a fellow gamer.

Might be possible I guess, but that would be a very heavily loaded jet.

For the Falklands, the Daggers were pretty much air-to-ship dedicated, so didn't have any air-to-air missiles on those sorties, even for self-protection.

Their Mirages flew a few air-to-air sorties, and I guess it is possible the Daggers might have backed them up, but the latter didn't have an air-to-air radar system, so would have been restricted to visual engagements only, with I/R missiles.

You can find some decent photos from the war, by doing a Google Images search on the subject, and then delving in to some of the Argentine military website postings on the subject.

Google has way more images than Yahoo, from my experience.

I might repaint them then. I just wanted to get them painted since we're using them in a game next week and I need to get them decaled and clearcoated as well.

I took a knife and cleaned them up for my Israeli Neshers.
