About these excelent work of Don Troiani about the 3er New Jersey Volunteer Cavalry, which figures in plastic or metal in 25mm or 28mm can be used?
The hood had to be converted?
If you had made the unit, please, can post some pics here?

Connoisseur makes them in 25mm. Their catalog lists them as "1st U.S. Hussars" which was an alernate name for them. Connoisseur's figs don't have the cape.

That uniform disappeared a year or less into the War.They were later issued with standard Federal uniforms.Sack coat and forage cap most likely.

you could make a display unit or consider a larger scale. There are several figures available cheaply. Many of the zouave units were only company level only
