John at Corsec Engineering gave me an item months ago and said "here make something out of this". He asked I not post what that item was to see if any of you could figure it out. :) Now then- back to the model itself. The bar is part of my terrain set up for an old abandoned colony town (see the 'scientific outpost' thread in the forum. It still needs a few 'bitz' such as debries out front. I have old crates and pallets in the works. The figure are from GZG And Khurasan both their 15mm ranges. Any and all comments welcome!

Cool scenery. It needs some denizens milling about and some catchy cantina music. -Eli |

Haha I should rig a music setup inside to play cantina songs while we play :) |

Depending on how handy you are, it's not too hard. My daughter had bought one of the Paper Jams amps a while back. It stopped working because the cardboard speaker box broke down after being played with too much. Well, the awesome 13 year old that she is, she pulled it apart, fixed the wiring and rigged up all the electronics bits into a new speaker box she made out of scrap cardboard. It even has the original audio jack still intact so she can still plug in her Ipod. I didn't help her with it but remember thinking "Hmmmmmmm
why not do that with a piece of terrain" -Eli |

That is great! Lots of detail, style and good brush work too.(air brush?) The ingenuity out of our panhandle is something to behold. |

Thanks all! Only the base coat is airbrushed. Everything else is a combination of dry brushing and Mig Pigment weathering powders. |

I've been toying with the idea of a modular gaming table with integrated electronics. It would provide power and control so you could build the buildings with LEDS and other electronics in them and just plug them into the setup as needed. Have a few preprogrammed scenes like night and day. All the street lights come on at night and the shop windows are on during the day. You could easily add small speaker jacks to some of them and pipe sounds to a small pizo electric speaker. |

Ah, now I recognize it! I remember standing in Menards and wondering just what I could do with that strangely-shaped electrical box. |

I wanted to make it a garage or gas station and Jim snatched it and ran off to make this. Much better then I could have done. |
