I have these from the old game. Almost a complete set. Do these have any value?

I think mostly for those using them instead of the more expensive GW figures. I think if you check out Ebay, they aren't fetching great prices now?

I think the most I ever saw them sell for was 40-50 cents each.

The figures are of a very poor quality compared to even GW's old plastics. I think they are fine for kids just learning how to paint and play games, but with much nicer plastic figures available these days I just don't see them selling for much, if at all. I think I put mine in a "Free to a Good home" box on my table at a past Flea Market.

The Empire Crossbowmen were quite useful during a period when GW wasn't bothering but are not very detailed. The Ogre and Cannon still hold up if painted well, though, as do the Knights and Empire Halbardiers.

I have picked up four boxes of this game three 18 years ago and one earlier this year. Best way to build a core for Empire, Orks & Goblins & Warriors of Chaos armies.

The game came with 102 figures.

When given a choice of paying $3 USD-$4 per figure which is what GW are now and paying $0.40 USD-$0.50 I know which figures I would buy.

Once you do put a good primer on them (I had to spray them twice) they do take and hold the paint quite well.

I spent my year in Kuwait painting them.

I bought a set yesterday for £4.00 GBP -that's a couple of HOTT armies right there. Mass base up ,mass spray undercoat and quick paint job and I'm good to go.

For those who want less detailed figures to paint up, YES! They seem to sell well on e-Bay, but not for a lot of money. Still, their prices have increased over the past 10 years.

If you do not want them, throw them up on e-Bay, and see what happens. Dutch auctions are best, allowing buyers to select how many figures, of each type, they want.

I trolled e-Bay, several years ago, to build up my fantasy armies, for less than $1 USD/figure, and I would still put those figures on my table, without hesitation. They paint up decent, with fewer details, meaning less painting time required, to get them on the table. I really like them. It would seem that many folks still like them for their own gaming tables, too. Best of luck, cheers!

"Less detail"

The archers and crossbowmen have the "mold line on face" problem, but I'll field the Battlemasters Halbardiers and Knights any day of the week.

These make up a regiment of halberdiers, bows and a couple of cannon in my Empire army. I like them just fine.
