I pared out the existing seats for the door gunners in the Falcon so I could test fit GZG part V15-85A (NI Twin Plasma Gunner) in the bay. I think it works pretty well and will go ahead and finish the conversion.

I wanted to use the full plasma gun assembly, but it would be really easy to simply use the gunner figure in this kit to populate the existing door guns on the helo. The figure looks a hair small in the existing seat, but the guns can be positioned in such a way that you could simply squeeze the gunner's fists together to grip the stock gun.

Cool conversion. Looks like it'll work nicely.

This looks fantastic. Wish I had looked at the GZG stuff when I built mine. Please post pics when you have this finished!

I'm going to put a team of Snipers in mine like in Ghost in the Shell.

I plan to seal the obvious seams on the top of the tail and repaint it gray. The one thing that bothers me about this model is the propellers. They look too toy like. Part of their problem is that it's a tilt wing (yes they actually move) and the propellers are too big. They contact the wing if tilted from the horizontal position.

I've lost the fight to resist one of these… I had to order one. I may copy your conversion.

I just picked one of these up and it seems to me that the engines should just pull off the wingtips without any problems. Might be nifty to ditch the existing props/engines altogether and build a pair of beefy jets to replace them

Getting back to the Falcon conversion. The gun mount has been built up and everything attached with magnets. I've had to start rebuilding the skids, since the existing ones had warped in the package. For those, I'm just going to copy the style of the front landing gear. I replaced the forward gun (it was kind of fragile looking) with a magnetically mounted sensor array from some unidentified bit in my box.
