What manufacturer makes the most accurate 15mm IS-2? |

Most accurate, that's easy. Old Glory/Skytrex. I have one & a BF which is also nice, but a bit oversized, hence not accurate. The QC one, well, I didn't even bother putting it together. I can take some pics for your. If you like, ask the editor for my email. |

GrossKaliefornja, I'm confused by your statement about the BF IS-2 being oversized therefore not accurate. If you measure the BF model, it comes out to 1:100 scale (10.3 x 3.4 mm). |

10 x 3 mm? Isn't that undersized?? :-) Probably depends whether you want it to be 15mm or 1:100 scale. QRF do a nice one too: SFV1 IS-2 Heavy Tank £4.50 Geoff |

Uh... hang on, according to the dimensions I just found, it should be: 9.9m (length) x 3.09m (width) x 2.73m (height) or 99mm x 31mm x 27mm in 1:100 scale, smaller in true 15mm... that makes the BF one more like 1:96 (old imperial measurement of 8 feet to the inch - big 15mm or even small 20mm). Do you want to check those measurements Onomarchos? Of course, I haven't cross-referenced with any other dimensions (they have been known to vary from different sources) or measured the one in Kubinka. Maybe the BF one is correct and the real one is wrong? :-) |

Ono wants the caliper. OK then, tonight. If you want pics of them next to each other, let me know. |

Haven't seen the OG one, but the Battlefront vehicle is nice. |

OK, the numbers are as a % of 1/100 scale. (L)ength, (W)idth, deck (H)eight. Old Glory/Skytrex: (L) 96%; (W) 96%; (H) 102% BattleFront: (L) 100%; (W) 104%; (H) 117% But that doesn't tell the whole story. The BF turret is huge which makes it look even bigger. The same turret is used on the KV-85, which is even more strange looking. The OG JS2 is more proportional. |

Oh yeah Geoff, forgot to complement you. I've seen some of your new stuff on display, and whoever is doing your scupting is very good. As good as anything on the market today. Didn't know what tanks they were, though. From a period I'm not familiar with. |

Thank you, we think their better than anything on the market today ;-) Actually, now I think of it, they were possibly the Hungarians, in which case they are the ONLY ones o nteh market :-D Our vehicles today come from either Chas and myself, or from Ray Jobling and Mark Naylor. Ray and Mark are slowly working through re-doing all the old vehicles that are in need of updating, as well as adding new items. They have done the French, Hungarians, some of the German and Russian, a lot of the anti-tank guns and various other bis. Mark is also working on the Merkava... If it is of interest, they also run a very good painting service (Under the Bed Enterprises) and several of our modern vehicles, painted by UTB, appeared in Miniature Wargames (although labelled as Skytrex!!!)
