Hmmmm, my "Submit News" button isn't working, so I thought I would post this info here instead.

We just wanted to let you know that our 15mm range of Topgun Grav Armor is available again.

The above Light Grav Tank Platoon was superbly painted by Richard Meaden.

Currently, we are sold out of the "Active Armor Defense Models" (commonly referred to with the acronym AADS), which have the circular surface detailing shown below on their hulls and turrets, but do still have some of the Smooth-hulled models available for immediate sale, although they are selling rather quickly.

We provided a brief note about their availability, in response to a posting on TMP, and by sending private e-mail messages to a few interested parties last Friday. Then, the news quickly spread. Due to the large number of inquiries from people about their availability, I thought I would provide this press release, to clarify the current situation.

We are in the process of making our full range of models available again, as soon as possible. Our casting service has been contacted, and we are working to obtain more inventory, so that we can provide them to you.

There are 12 different models available for sale currently, for a comprehensive range of products; 24, if you consider the two styles of finish, e.g. the Smooth-hulled models, and the AADS variants. We hope to release others, as time and funds permit, in the near future.

They are listed below:
Type 7 Scout/Recon Grav vehicle
Type 8 AA Pt. Defense/Light Mortar Veh.
Type 9 Light Grav Tank
Type 10 Medium Grav Tank Hunter – beam/cannon armed
Type 11 Medium Grav Tank
Type 12 Grav Tank Hunter – missile armed vehicle (should be available soon)
Type 13 Heavy Grav Tank
Type 14 Heavy Tank Hunter
Type 15 Superheavy Grav Tank (not currently available)
Type 16 Urban Assault/Fire Support Veh.- short, hvy wpn

Type 21 Grav APC
Type 22 Grav Infantry Fighting Veh.
Type 23 Grav Ambulance/Ammo Carrier/HQ Vehicle
Type 24 Heavy Grav Mortar Vehicle

We don't currently have a website set up, but can provide you with a MS Word file, that provides a listing of the models we produce, as well as photos of most of the vehicles that we have for sale.

Models are available for purchase individually, in Platoon and Section Packs, and even Company Packs. There are 4 vehicles in the Platoon Packs, 2 vehicles in the Section Packs, and 12, or 16 vehicles in the Company Packs – 12 vehicles are standard, but if you want to add in the HQ and Support Sections, then this raises the total vehicle count to 16 in a company.

The Platoon and Company packs offer our miniatures at a discount, and the Company Packs consist of suggested TO&Es for our forces, consisting of either 3 or 4 vehicle platoon sized units (3 – 4 vehicles per platoon, and 3 – 4 platoons per company, in the 12 vehicle companies; plus, the option of adding in the HQ and Support Sections, if desired, to complete the 16 vehicle units).

We are offering 10 different Company Packs, for your gaming pleasure:

1. Light Grav Recon Company
2. Armored Infantry Grav Company
3. Balanced Light Grav Cavalry Company
4. Light Grav Cavalry Company
5. Medium Grav Cavalry Company
6. Heavy Grav Cavalry Company
7. Light Grav Tank Company
8. Medium Grav Tank Company
9. Heavy Grav Tank Company
10. Urban Assault Infantry Company

Note – these Company Packs weren't listed in the catalogs I sent out over the weekend, so if anyone would like a revised copy of our miniatures catalog, I would be happy to provide you with an update.

The Platoon and Company Packs offer our products at a discount over their normal pricing, so are a good value, to help you create your Ultra-tech Grav Armored Force.

Obviously, if you prefer your platoons, and/or companies to have more, or fewer vehicles, you are free to design your own TO&Es as well, and can purchase our Platoon and Company Packs as a basis for them, and then add additional units, as desired.

Also, I'm not sure if you are aware of it, but I've developed a free set of Grav Armor rules for FUBAR, that are located on the Forge of War Yahoo Group:

link

They are located in the Files section, under the title FUBAR, so are worth a look, specifically, here:

link

They are designed for platoon to company level engagements. I have stats posted there too, in an Excel spreadsheet, for our vehicles, and unofficial stats for some designs from GZG and CMG as well.

I'm still experimenting with the FP ratings for the Anti-tank Weaponry, but I think in general they work pretty well. I may possibly want to dial the FP ratings back, a point, or two, but am still testing those out.

They are easily tweaked, if you find them to be stacked too far in our (your) Grav Armor range's favor, compared to those from other manufacturers.

Please let me know if you have any questions about our products, the Grav Armor rules for FUBAR, or if you would like to place an order.

I will be happy to assist you.

I can be reached via e-mail, at: calidreamer3 AT hotmail [dot{ com

Sincerely,

Rob

Ill say it again, I love those painted tanks!

Moqawama07 Aug 2012 11:33 p.m. PST

I am a Tread-Man, but I love to see a much-beloved range available again…I hope this is a good omen for the announced DLD comeback as well!!

:D

Chatticus Finch08 Aug 2012 2:21 a.m. PST

Moqawama… don't toy with me man… If DLD is coming back I'm going to be SO DAMN HAPPY! There kits, even by today's awesome standards, were rock solid and look an absolute blast even now!

Johny Boy08 Aug 2012 4:35 a.m. PST

Any possible heads up as to whereRichard got the large white number decals from, liking those a lot

Moqawama08 Aug 2012 10:02 a.m. PST

Chatticus,

I have recently read about a comeback of the DLD range in the first half of 2013,

I very dearly hope it's true.

Mako1108 Aug 2012 10:17 a.m. PST

Not sure, but they certainly look nice, e.g. the decals, and his vehicles.

I suspect he either has an Alps printer, knows someone with one, or had his designs converted into decals by someone that can print white.

The eyes, and unit insignia are also very nice looking too.

Farstar08 Aug 2012 10:30 a.m. PST

Can you even still get supplies for an Alps?

leidang08 Aug 2012 11:05 a.m. PST

Be very wary of DLD unless under new mgmt. I am out approximately $130 USD with no product to show for it from the last comeback of DLD. This was 2 plus years ago. I ordered approx $260 USD worth of stuff, had good communication for about 3-4 weeks, then a string of excuses, then nothing for 4-5 months. Eventually got half the order at 6 month mark. Then nothing for the last 2 years.

If he does comeback I hope he refunds or fulfills all outstanding orders. There are several of us that were left in the lurch.

John Treadaway08 Aug 2012 11:08 a.m. PST

I agree with everything everyone else has said so far grin

Nice vehicles. Nice paint (splendid, in fact). Great to see them back in production. Be good to see DLD back in production as well.

We live in happy times.

EDIT – ok I was posting at the same time as Leidang. So I'm not endorsing that as well – obviously being out big bucks is shabby. Sorry about that :(

Why the new account, Mako11, instead of Top Gun Ace?

Sparqe18 Aug 2012 2:42 p.m. PST

I can't believe I missed this post. I've been eagerly awaiting the return of these since just missing out on them the first go around. This has literally made my day :D

evilmike20 Aug 2012 3:49 a.m. PST

Is it just me, or do those tanks look just like grav armor from Traveller/Striker?

The G Dog Fezian20 Aug 2012 4:41 a.m. PST

It is not just you.

That is one reason why we're celebrating the return of these miniatures to production.
