As I had a bit of time the other evening I decided to get all my 10mm figures out on my wargames table (8'x4') – I rather underestimated the number of figures and not only did they fill the whole table it took all night to unpack them.

I took some photos tonight:

Hello I'm Fred and I've got a 10mm habit might have been a better title :)

But seriously great looking gaming minis…

its quite sad but I'd probably be a bit similar if I did the same especially if I included my other scales.

there is still room on that table!

Impressive

I want to see how the Eagles do against the Soviets

The only problem that I see is that you need to double the size of your collection,if not triple…:)

sillypoint06 Aug 2012 3:03 p.m. PST

Very satisfying and impressive!

Absolutely!
He's not even close to filling that table.
What a slacker !

Rrobbyrobot06 Aug 2012 3:11 p.m. PST

I see disturbingly empty spaces on your table. You still have a way to go, good Sir.

fred12df06 Aug 2012 3:25 p.m. PST

I'm sorry that I left a couple of gaps, I'll get on with some more painting soon – the Olympics are prooving a bit distracting of late though.

Skinkmaster – remember this is only the painted stuff, the unpainted is still in many boxes.

I'm just wetting my feet in wwii 10mm, and this is certainly a fine inspiration. Sadly, my table is only 6'x4'…but perhaps I'll add a second level underneath. :)

galvinm06 Aug 2012 5:16 p.m. PST

You do good work.

Nice looking table.

Now get to work on filling another, ya slacker.

Scott Kursk06 Aug 2012 10:02 p.m. PST

There is indeed a lot of blank space on the table between minis. You really do need a lot more.

Narratio06 Aug 2012 11:22 p.m. PST

Well, it seems to be a generally accepted position that;
A) You've not got enough minatures.
B) You're a slacker due to A) above.
C) If and when you do actually fill the table, go and get another table. (Rinse and repeat)

Scott Kursk06 Aug 2012 11:42 p.m. PST

D) You should do dupes in 28mm. That would open up a lot of gaming opportunities for you.

I do love a parade thumbs up

Fantastic! Really impressive spread. That photo, in a nutshell, is why 10mm is a great scale for mass battles.

warhawkwind07 Aug 2012 12:13 p.m. PST

That's a lot of lead. Is it just the angle of the camera or is that table sagging in the middle? ;)

fred12df07 Aug 2012 1:23 p.m. PST

No, it's the gravitional field from all the lead, distorting the light going towards the camera.

Thank you for posting this so I can show my wife and appear to be "normal"….

CooperSteveOnTheLaptop07 Aug 2012 3:17 p.m. PST

Lovely. Good lad.

vtsaogames07 Aug 2012 6:52 p.m. PST

I will not load up my table with all my 15mm figures… until after I retire, maybe.

pilum4007 Aug 2012 6:53 p.m. PST

nice start there…skippy! :)

donlowry08 Aug 2012 9:37 p.m. PST

Obviously, you need a bigger table. I'm sure your wife will understand.

Royal Marine11 Aug 2012 4:01 p.m. PST

Bonkers. Did the family come home early?

Have enjoyed Fred's comments and pictures on various 10/12mm, 1/144th sites and here. A real pleasure though to see the full scope of your collection!
