Anyone know where these can be obtained as downloads?

Its going to be a hard sell to the Home Boys without them!

Here is one from the Yahoo group, I suspect you may have to join to down load it.

Thanks John

The PDF above will do fine to help learn the rules but its not a true QRF.

I notice from the FoG(N)Forum the plebs are getting restless on the matter of there not being an official one and I would have to agree that it sucks!

Telling people to photo copy from the book is just cheap.

Apparently there has never been an offical QRS for FoG(R)either, which strikes me as a crap way to treat the customers!

Here's hoping I like the rules!

Yes it is odd, this is the first FOG game I have played. They appear to be very well supported, with an excellent forum. But there is a real reluctance to issue a QRS and the errata was slow to come. Maybe since the 2 supplements are now done, there will be more focus.

I did use the Quick Play sheet to play my first game, but I did have to resort to the rule book quite a bit.

I have had a look at the yahoo group unofficial QRS that I referred you to, it does appear to be inclusive, but I have not gone through it carefully.

The ruleset is basically quite simple, but you can layer on a lot of complexity as need be. I like simple rules, with one step mechanisms, I am really much more interested in the strategy rather then the details.

I really like the command point function as it really makes you have to think about what you have to do.

I am hoping to eventually get to play more, but my gaming partners are few and distant (>500k), so it is difficult.

Good luck with the rules and please report back.

Thanks John,

So far I'm liking what I see, rules wise and the QRS you pointed to looks pretty comprehensive – there's a lot of stuff to cram in!

I really like the concept of Complex and Simple actions which is a nice device to illustrate units getting on with the basics but requiring command intervention to branch out into the clever stuff.

Don't know that the instances used are necessarily examples of where this would have happened historically but I do like the idea of a base line of performance with occasional instruction from above, rather than all units being able to conduct back flips and pirouettes all of the time.

Coupling this with the command point function (used to like that in Principals of War) is a great way to make players think.

There does appear to be a good deal to learn though!
