Me and my friends followed up that game of Merchants & Marauders with a game of D&D: Wrath of Ashardalon. It had been ages since we had played this game (it happens when your boardgame collection grows too big to rotate games at an even pace). In any case it was lots of fun, and hard as hell as always. We literally lost by the slimmest margin possible – damn roof caved in and crushed our wizard as we were going to deal the killing blow to the main villain which would end the game in victory!

Noticed afterwards we had played things a bit wrong in the Kobold clan room, and things became probably harder than they should have been. But imo it just became a really tense challange that made it more fun.

It's a great but at time very difficult game, you need to make the right combination of heroes depending on the number of players. In this 3 player game we should have used the Dwarf instead of the weakling wizard.
