I got, and finished my Kestrels today:

They are really awesome, i'll be ordering from GZG soon, and i'll be getting these too:

They'll be sitting on the running boards:

I envision it as a Sci-Fi little bird, that can drop a team of 4 special forces types… Stealth and a chin mounted plasma gun, along with some missiles give it a bite…

More at my blog too: clearhorizonsalvage.blogspot.com

Any comments or suggestions always welcome :)

Nice work as usual.

Haha, I could say the same about the shipping!

I couldn't help myself, these are just too cool, I think I spent a good 10 minutes flying around the living room making laser noises. I'm pretty sure my wife had thought I had finally lost it.

Those look great, good call on the GZG troops to be positioned sitting on the running boards they should really add a extra bit of a wow factor.

Great work! I started on mine when they came yesterday as well, but you got a lot more done than I did.

Okay, now I have to find a way of getting these into one of my armies, curse you!

Thanks guys!

It's a little hard to tell in the photos, but I painted black, and then used an airbrush and a mesh screen to spray on a dark grey.

It provides a little bit of a pattern, but hardly noticeable. I was looking for a "carbon fiber" kinda look since I figured these would be stealth…

I better check the mail!

Cannot believe I missed ordering these…

Mine just arrived today, and I'm very impressed with it. The Mark 2 should be quite popular once it's remade and released.

@MrHarold – nice idea with the seated NAC figures. I think you just helped me decide which army my Kestrel will support. :)

Thanks! I just ordered them today, hopefully they fit!

Mine turned up today, also. Great model. I think I'm going to use magnets for the chin gun, it seems like it might be prone to breakage if rigidly fixed in place.

Added some more decals and made some bases:

You know what would look really good as a big brother to these Kestrel VTOL's would be the Chinese lander from Combat Wombat as they have the same style cockpits which is a very noticeable feature on these models.
