I have just released the first in a series of games scenarios to go with Comitatus rules. This one covers the Battle of Daras in AD 530 in which the young Belisarius defeated the Persians with an East Roman army supported by Huns and Heruls. I have played this several times and it makes for a great game as it is fairly evenly balanced. Sometimes the Romans have won and sometime the Persians. The scenario can be downloaded from link All of the scenarios in this series will be available as illustrated Pdfs and will be free to download. I will be designing scenarios to illustrate most armies of the period covered by Comitatus (AD 250-1100) so players can see how various forces might be composed and interpreted under the rules. And if you have not yet ordered your copy of Comitatus, you can do so at: link Simon |
