I'm about to put paint to resin on a bunch of Khurasan and GZG tanks and AFVs. I'm trying to avoid a plain colour scheme and am asking the crowd for some wisdom – anyone seen modern camo that is reminiscent or similar to the WW1 Naval dazzle camo schemes of the briefly used Caunther scheme in WW2? I've done a lot of soft edge camo for various WW2 tanks and want something more hard edged to give the models a more sci fi feel. The first batch of vehicles are future USA (Khurasan's Samson tanks and some Silers), I'm saving the "green and tan" hard edge schemes for Khurasan's Red Banner tanks. Especially keen if anyone out there has urban schemes they like! Digital camo would have been top of my list, but I'm waiting for CMG to release their MaskedFX product before tackling that – I don't want to spend too much time cutting our square shapes, hence I'm happy to wait for MaskedFX. |

Thanks for that, excellent suggestion. Not sure about the colours, but the style is defintiely an option. I like this
And I like this

The scheme on this Nutcracker isn't too bad, but is probably too subtle for 15mm at gaming distance.

How about this one? Its sort of a sci-fi design to start with.
And yes, it also comes in black. |

Never occured to me, but that is a good option. Also found this, which I rather like
I'm looking to do geometric patterns as opposed to cold war blob styles. |

British Army Berlin Brigade urban camouflage? Some examples here link link |

Excellent linkage there Etranger, very grateful. I might save that particular scheme for the Brits I'm contemplating tackling later this year. And on that
any tips on good SF tanks that retain a British (read Challenger 2) feel? |

Don't forget the Swedish camo schemes (like on the CV90)

Another excellent suggestion
Not bad, but need to work out what colours to use so that it looks "American". But in terms of pattern that's probably the one I'll go with. |

FWIW, I recently came into possession of some bird and butterfly ID books, and I'm going to steal from them for some 6 and 15mm vehicle schemes. Not sure if I'll call them camo or the parade version of vehicles with active camo. If you're fighting on multiple planets, presumably you have to have some flex in your camo, and that Monarch butterfly scheme might actually work
