After a long period of relative inactivity, I am able to present my first post on my new project!: 15mm Starship Troopers.

Hope it is of interest to some.

Thanks

Nice figs.
They illustrate the problem with the Mongoose ST line – 28mm was too big for this.

That's cool! I also use the same figs for my LAMI. Critical Mass Games Arc Troopers remind me of MI. I use my Action Fleet Plasma Bugs and Micro Machine Tankers too. I'm not set on what to use for Warrior bugs yet. Khurasans are pretty cool but I don't like the legs.

I also do this in 6mm.

Thanks,

John

yoakley: Thanks. I agree with you on the 28mm thing. When I visualise that kind of game I tend to see it smaller in scale and larger in number of figures. I aim to cover my whole table in 15mm Khurasan bugs!

John: Cheers. If you posted on TMP about using those figures for LAMI then it might have been you I got the idea from! Do you have any pictures of the Micro Machines Tankers in play? I got a bit stung by the actual size of the Brain Bug and am hesitant about buying more… I'd prefer them to be larger, more like in the film, but they work for me. Would be interested in what you end up using.

Thanks
Chris

Nice report. Very easy to follow. Like the figures a lot. 15mm a good and inexpensive way to do Sci-Fi.

Thanks. Pleased it was easy to follow, I always worry that what I am thinking doesn't tranbslate into what I have written! Feedback is always useful.

Well, the Action Fleet Brain bug is SST 28mm size. The MM one is pretty close to 18mm.

I thought I had pics of the Bugs in action. But I can't find any. The Action Fleet Tankers are only about 25% smaller than the 28mm ones. The MM ones are about 6 inches long. I think the 28mm one is actually about half the size it should be.

Thanks,

John

Ah, maybe it was the Action Fleet one I got then. The eBay listing wasn't too clear and it looked like it would fit with 15mm, but in reality it doesn't.
