Wow, impressive games Buck! That Martian game was incredible. Really love those Green Martians!

What scale were the Naps figs? What scale are units set at? How large of games do you run?

Thanks,

John

John:

The Green Martians are from Bronze Age Miniatures. They are terrific figures.

The under-development rules don't rely on a particular figure scale; they just specify base size. While almost my entire miniatures collection is 25/28mm, I have been using 10mm Old Glory figures for this Napoleonic project. 30 figures in six five-figure strips makes a battalion. Battalions are made up of two bases so that you can depict columns, lines, and squares. Players command divisions. The largest game I've run is 8 players, but I think it would scale up without much difficulty. We've done 20 player games using the WWII version of the Look, Sarge, No Charts rules with few issues. I have a few more things to work out before they're ready to publish, but I'm shooting for November as the release date. You can find more information here: link

Great terrain, great figure mash up, great rules, and great GM's. It was so intense, and chaotic, I didn't have a clue what was going on most of the time, but had an absolute blast playing! It was truly a "fog of war" experience. Those are my units in the center crossing the bridge. They ended up never firing a shot, but secured our objective anyway. My gun crew, and my team mate's units however, were in some hot action for most of the game. The scenario was deviously clever, and well manged by the GM crew.

Thanks for the outstanding game Buck!

I had a good time playing in this game.
It was well run, even 'though there were close to 20 players, the lag time between actions was not too bad.
I had been wanting to try these rules for a while, and this was a very good first experience.
