I made this brand new home for these 'Sow plus four piglets' (25C8) from Essex Miniatures. The wattle fencing is by Renedra, the rest is scratch built.
I've tried to make the model as generic as possible so it can sit on the tabletop for as many time periods as possible. More pictures and details can be found on my blog page. Regards, Matt ubique-matt.blogspot.co.uk |

Nicely done! You show well what pigs do to the ground inside their pen. It reminds me of this one in the 16th-19th century reconstructed village of Poul Fetan (Brittany)
although their fencing is too modern, your wattle fences are more authentic.

Really nice work. I like the picnic table. Presumably for bacon sandwiches? |

Thanks for the comments, it's not that often comments make me actually laugh out loud but these did. Checking for a link I believe the 'Sow plus four piglets' pack is in fact by Hovels Ltd. I can only assume I bought it from a Essex Miniatures stand at a show years ago. @Patrice, that's a impressive looking pigpen, I might have to find room for another model! Regards, Matt |
