Finally finished painting up my first order from Gothic Line 28mm WWII. These U.S. Infantry are very nice figures. Proportions are very good. Helmet is excellent and correct shape. Canteen is the right size. I just love these poses, too! Now, I need to order the U.S. special weapons and the Germans too! I really like these figures. They fit right in with just about any of the other 28mm brands. I hope they keep producing more!

Very nice work.

Colour choice is perfect: tones together well, but still clean and distinct.

FireZouave: excellent paint jobs. Very inspiring!! One quick question, since I was unfamiliar with this "Gothic Line" range until you posted the pic above (BTW, your link to more pics doesn't seem to work – at least it didn't for me?): are these U.S. figures made of metal or resin/plastic? A look at the company's site shows the Japanese and (at least some?) of the German figures to certainly be metal, but there is something strange about the product photos for the Americans. They look like plastic "toy soldiers" in their site's photos. Can you clarify for me? Thanks so much.

Primus Pictor, they are metal figures! They do look like plastic on the website because of the color of them! And thank you for the compliment!

Hmmm, don't know why they work for some people and not for others? But I'll post a few more pics here.

thank you for posting these photos, now i can see all the details. great job FireZouave.

You're welcome! And as you can see, the details are very good on these figures. What I love about these figures, (besides the overall great sculpting quality) is that the poses are very unique! No one else had made figure poses quite like these. Not only are they very animated but very different from most other sculptors. So, they add a new dimension to the current line-up of manufacturers out there. Look at every pair of legs on these soldiers. There are no duplicates. Each one is a unique individual!

Cassiano26 Jul 2012 7:06 a.m. PST

you are absolutely right FireZouave, each figure is unique in itself with unique poses and expressions, and that's why they blend very well with any other manufacturer. I'm painting the germans now and i'm really astonished with the level of detail in each figure.
