Wooden Wars

Those ADC's are nothing but Bicorn and Brassards!

I have some shots of a completed foot Officer and ADC,and go into a bit of model conversion to create the Aide-de-Camp.

These are really good and great blog

Wonderful figures as usual, full of character and a really nice clean bright paint job that works so well over the etched lines. The more I see your figures the more I like them :-)

I agree – They are so evocative!!! They capture something from our childhood that got us into Napoleonics in the first place.

Gentlemen,
Thank you for the positive responses!

Grambo, the etched lines make the models so easy to paint. your brush just follows the line flow. Totally a happy design accident.

Stay tuned for more shots- Cavalry and Arty coming up. Also some shots of wooden soldiers used with Black powder rules. (because you don't always have to toss balls)

Cheers
Thomas

hey, I WANT SOME!

In concur. Really beautiful figures, Thomas. They have a similar charm to paper soldiers.

Clay- I'll have a limited stock on sale at Gencon this year, and my Kick start "should" launch just before then.

Corporal T- thanks. One could consider them "very thick" paper I supposed. The big uptake with my Wooden Soldiers is that they are pretty tough and take being played with and knocked about really well.

Cheers- should have a new post of pics real soon!

You should do Pirates. These figures remind me of Captain Pugwash.

Chortle- as my first company was Flagship Games, and my moniker is my personal jolly roger, don't think that pirates are never far from my mind and heart. At Fossling proving grounds we have already tested mock up ships and forts. I've penned in some simple rules conversions for Wooden Wars for this. Just takes time to conquer the whole world, apparently :)

Or, in one word, Mwuhahahahahaha!

Speaking of conquering the whole World, would you be considering selling the figures into the UK in the future? Far as I can see they are unique? Certainly I have not seen the like over here, not at that quality. Every time I look at one of your updates I feel a desire to paint a couple for myself!

Keep those updates coming :-)

Lee.

Grambo- Thanks for your kind words.

My Kickstarter for this project is scheduled to launch pre Gencon, and the "plan" is to have Wooden Wars available to all by Sept/ Oct…let's just say well before Christmas.

I'll be posting again on my blog tonight, so keep a weather eye!

Cheers
