Just curious, how many TMP members are still actively playing Warmaster (fantasy, not ancients). Let's define "actively playing" generously, as having played at least once in the last year.

1. Yes.
2. No, but plan to get back into it.
3. No, never played, but plan to start playing.
4. No, used to play, but gave it up.
5. Never played Warmaster, no plans to start.

I'm a 2. I was a regular on the campaign day and tournament circuit in the UK in 2000 to 2003, but stopped playing when I moved back to the States. Recently, I unpacked the old figures, felt enthusiastic about Warmaster again, and have started painting a new army (Tomb Kings). I hope to get in a game soon, once I either find a local opponent with an army, or finish the Tomb Kings so I can supply both sides.

I've never played it but there's been some interest expressed lately by a friend.
Would it take a lot of doing to make it playable using the Demonworld 15mm figs?

It would easily accommodate 15mm figures. In fact, Warmaster bases are all 40mm x 20mm, which is a popular size base for 15mm, thanks to DBx and HOTT. Also, since most of the Demonworld armies are so similar in theme to Warhammer, it would be easy to match up Demonworld figures to the existing Warmaster army lists. For example, both games have Empire, Orcs, Dwarves, etc.

2. I played it all the time but haven't played much fantasy in the last year. I will probably get more games in come October.

5. However, if someone else plans to set up a battle or two, I'm game.

Never played it, but I did buy some of the magazines for the terrain building articles (excellent stuff there), and I did download the free PDF of the rules. Having recently bought Hail Caesar and its kin, though, and getting into that, I may eventually graft some of the WM fantasy elements onto that.

I guess it is 4 for me. But I still use my miniatures (Dark Elves, Chaos, High Elves) to play a home-made "Fantasy" Hail Ceasar.

Altius19 Dec 2012 10:36 a.m. PST

Never played it, but I've got a rule book and at least two armies that would work.

5) although I did own the rules at one point. I may still have them.
